Stuck

Psalms chapter 40 verses 1 and 2.
"I waited patently for God to help me; then He listened and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the pit of despair, out from the bog and the mire, and set my feet on a hard, firm path and steadied me as I walked along."

How long are you going to keep on feeling like you are stuck and can't move? Like you are going nowhere in life and no matter what you try those crazy sad feelings of needed change come at you.
You work hard, you have a wife and a family, you go on vacations and pay your bills on time. Yet you wonder why you feel occasional resentment. Like you are missing something and it makes you restless, seeking something....but what?
Your try vacations, but they are short lived leaving only distant memories. You may think a change of spouse or moving to a different place, but those do nothing except cause added issues. Maybe if you spend more money and get that thing you always wanted, but the excitement wears off and you find yourself wondering again.
It is like you are stuck in muck and you can see the edge and you struggle to lift your foot closer but you keep getting sucked back in. You are aging, time is going by and the youthful strength you once had is fading. More time is spent moping around, wishing you could have done this or that.
Satisfaction and contentment are hard to find. It would be nice if you were rich and could have all the stuff paid for that would give you a never ending supply of false satisfaction, but that too can't happen because everyone else wants what you have and you fight to keep what you get.
God does offer Jesus and maybe you can find peace in following after that path. You call out to God for help, but nothing seems to be happening, maybe a little more time is needed. Maybe He did not hear you. Maybe you need to show Him that you are sincere in what you are asking for. What is it really that you are looking for? Peace? Satisfaction? Healing? Love!!!
You read the bible and seek out a church, slowly you start to see a change. You are not searching anymore, but have become content in loving God. Your mind is no longer restless and you are enjoying the simple things, that have been right in front of you all along. As time goes by, you and others who know you are happy with the paths you have chosen. You are not afraid to share the changes you made with others and you give all the credit to God. You even realize that what has happened to you is a result of our Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus.
God has made finding peace and contentment available to all people. It is not hard to come to Him, all you need is the want for a better life. No longer following paths that lead to nowhere and no longer thinking that maybe that next path might just go somewhere. But safe and secure, satisfied that the path Jesus is leading you on is the right path. The path that is brightly lit and where you feel at home in the presence of God.
Thank you Father for Jesus. Thank you for Your patience and Your welcoming love when we come to You. 😊

Psalms chapter 145 verses 14-16.
"The Lord lifts the fallen and those bent beneath their loads. the eyes of all mankind look up to You for help; and You give them their food as they need it. You constantly satisfy the hunger and thirst of every living thing."

Matthew chapter 4 verse 4.
Jesus said, "No! For the Scriptures tell us that bread won't feed men's souls: obedience to every word of God is what we need."

John chapter 14 verse 15-18.
Jesus replied, "If you love Me, obey Me; and I will ask the Father and He will give you another Comforter, and He will never leave you. He is the Holy Spirit, the Spirit who leads into all truth. The world at large cannot receive Him, for it does not recognize Him. But you do, for He lives with you now and some day shall be in you."
