Plan of defense.

John chapter 3 verse 16.
For God loved the world so much that He gave His only Son so that anyone who believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. God did not send His Son into the world to condemn it, but to save it.

Do you have a brother or sister? Maybe you have a best friend? They are the ones who come and advise you when blindness is blocking you from seeing the bigger picture. Advice is always needed, that is why we like to help others and they like to help us. Not all advice is taken as the direction we need to go. People are stubborn, even when they cannot see the right path, that others are seeing so clearly and trying to encourage us to take.
Most issues are simple and life goes on without too much recoil. Some situations are larger than others and can take longer to get by and they can also create issues in others areas of our lives. What was happy and calm can become sadness and frustration. The issues change how we treat others and our health starts to be affected. Your promotion falls through and you are failing at your challenges. You are called in to the office and your boss has to talk with you about your performance.
You think you are trying, but you are failing. What started out as small has become out of your control and you feel like there is no hope for recovery. Those who care the most for you are rallying around to help. Maybe you need to seek out and accept outside help and guidance. Your pride has to be set aside. Your stubbornness has to relinquish to meekness.
Finally after a lot of heartache and wasted energy you start down the path of recovery. Hoping that another situation does not arise and you can back into the happy go lucky days of old. You know I am going to talk about God and Jesus, but before I do I want to let you know that, with them our life here still attacks us. The challenges keep coming, the bills never stop, the hunger for food is constant and trying to maintain good health just adds to the mix.
So what does God offer that makes it so appealing, to turn to Him, rather than rely upon our own will power? A good example would be a football team being put in front of you, there to block and slow down the issues of life, giving you more time to talk it over with God and to have a plan in place when they do get to you.
God is the almighty and all powerful Creator of everything. And He wants you to live with Him. He wants you to see Him as your Father whom you have been lost from. He wants you to see Jesus as your way back to Him. You will know when He calls. There will be the thoughts inside you to turn and follow Him. He is telling you that the road ahead is brightly lit. It is safe and secure and you can stay there forever. Never having to leave, always thankful that you have been brought to the right place.
God is with you and will never leave you. Hold close to life with Him. Talk to Him about everything, and thank Him always for you are no longer doing things on your own, but are living a life where you trust and rely upon Him. The secret of joy is walking that brightly lit road confident that God has got this and all you need to do is obey His loving guidance.
Thank you Father for Jesus. Thank You Jesus for coming and guiding us to the place where we belong. 😊
