Who you are!

Matthew chapter 5 verses 43-45.
"There is a saying, 'Love your friends and hate your enemies.' But I say: Love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you! In that way you will be acting as true sons of your Father in heaven. For He gives sunlight to both the evil and the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust too."

Everyone knows what it feels like to like someone and dislike someone else. With friends, it is easy to get along. You enjoy being around them because they return your friendship. But do you feel the same way about others who's conversations you are not so fond of? Or think of how you feel when you are in the presence of someone who is making fun of you or criticizing you? Talking back only makes matters worse and walking away leaves you looking for others to vent your anger on.
There are always going be situations where you will feel animosity towards someone else for something they have said or done. Jesus says that we are to love our enemies. That seems, to not be as easy as you would think. God forgave us after being misguided and lost. He sent Jesus so that we could find our way home.
It is through Jesus that we live in the family of God. It is where He keep a close eye on us, just as any father would watch over children. We have all heard people take the side of their loved one when they are accused of being in the wrong. Well God does that. As His child you have learned to respect others, and to be helpful and kind. God wants others to know that you are His child and you want nothing else than to please God.
God knows that people hurt each other. He knows that wrong words get spoken and that wrongful thoughts enter our minds. But because you are keeping a close eye on God, you know that you can call out to Jesus for help. You know that the Holy Spirit will change you ways of thinking quickly. You know that God will provide you with the right words and the right thoughts so that those who are around you see that you are different. That you are slow to anger and filled with kindness.
And you know that it is God who is standing with you and you are thankful to Him for your new life and how you treat others, as He has treated you.
Forgiveness can be quick, for the sorrow that you are feeling. God strengthens you with His forgiveness and you benefit from His guidance and not from your own feelings. So you see what happens? Because, God is your focus and not the old life you lived, people enjoy being around you. God is with you and so you are standing out as being different with His blessing all around you. Even the most hard-nosed people don't mind being around you. You get along with everyone because your focus is to bring God to everyone through Jesus. Just as He did for you.
Love people, you never know who might be curious to know more about Jesus.
Thank you Father for Jesus and the life we have with You. 😊

Colossians chapter 3 verses 12 and 13.
"Since you have been chosen by God who has given you this new kind of life, and because of His deep love and concern for you, you should practice tenderhearted mercy and kindness to others. Don't worry about making a good impression on them but be ready to suffer quietly and patiently. Be gentle and ready to forgive; never hold grudges. Remember the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others."

1 Corinthians chapter 10 verse 33.
"Try to please everyone in everything you do, not doing what you like or what is best for you, but what is best for them, so that they may be saved."

Luke chapter 12 verse 31 and 32.
"God will always give you all you need from day to day if you make the Kingdom of God your primary concern. So don't be afraid, little flock. For it gives your Father great happiness to give you the Kingdom."
