The weight of baggage!
Luke chapter 9 verse 23.
Then Jesus said to all, "Anyone who wants to follow Me must put aside his own desires and conveniences and carry his cross with him everyday and keep close to Me!"
We all have baggage that can be a tremendous weight to carry around. It can be so heavy that we do not want to continue dragging it around with us anymore. However the baggage we have created is not going to go away. It is always there until we do something about it.
It is the part of "doing something about it" that is hard to accept. The weight of what we carry sits on our minds and goes with us everywhere. It can make us bitter towards those we love and cause us to hide our feelings from others. It can cause us to be filled with so much stress that we are clouded as to how to help ourselves see clearly what needs to be done.
In most cases we want so bad to clear our thoughts, that we create the answers needed, giving ourselves some type of hope, but really we are only fooling ourselves so that we can get through the day. What that is doing, is hiding away. Hiding behind what our issues are, for fear of having to face them. No one is going to help you, but yourself.
If you continue on the path you are walking then you are never going to be free from the burdens. And how can you see clearly Jesus when your mind is focused on the stresses of life? Are you helping yourself? Do you love yourself? Are you healthy? Are you stubborn and frustrated?
You are not the only one. Remember your issues are nothing new to this world, they have all been seen before. The issue is that, they are your burdens and you have to deal with them.
So step up to the plate and accept the offer of Jesus. Let go of this world and walk wholly with Him everywhere, all the time. And as you come to God, as His child, the one that He has been wanting so bad to come back into your life with---together, with small steps and God holding your hand closely, you can be set free.
Do not lose focus of Him. He wants you to know His love and the wonderful love that you can have for yourself. You will see a joy enter your heart like never felt before. A love like you cannot believe. The change to you will be seen as others enjoy your love. There is this Light, that is waiting for you to step into. It is so glorious that you will never want to step away from it and that same Light will reflect in everything around you.
Thank you Father for a way out. Thank you for Jesus and our way home to You. I am so thankful for Your love and how it reflects through my love for my wife, our families and friends. 😊
Luke chapter 9 verse 47.
Jesus said to them, Anyone who takes care of a little child like this is caring for Me! And whoever cares for Me is caring for God who sent Me. Your care for others is the measure of your greatness."
John chapter 21 verse 18.
Jesus said, "Then feed My little sheep."
"When you were young, you were able to do as you liked and go wherever you wanted to; but when you are old, you will stretch out your hands and others will direct you and take you where do not want to go."
Matthew chapter 18 verse 19.
"I also tell you this---if two of you agree down here on earth concerning anything you ask for, My Father in heaven will do it for you. For where two or three gather together because they are mine, I will be right there among them."
