Thankful
Acts chapter 1 verse 8.
Jesus replied, "When the Holy Spirit has come upon you, you will receive power to testify about Me with great effect, to the people in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth, about My death and resurrection."
It makes you feel good and appreciated when someone comes up to you and says "thank-you" for something you have done. It makes you feel good to say "thank-you" to someone else when they have done something for you.
A simple "thank-you" can brighten any situation, making it a much better place to be in, at that time. You may not forget, that the "thank-you" was spoken, and take that with you throughout the rest of your day. You feel better and happier, and it reflects onto others. Who knows, a simple "thank-you may just cause a chain reaction as goodness and joy flows from one person to the next.
We do not know what is going on in others lives. There could be devastation brought on by personal circumstances which is making it hard for someone to face their day. The burdens of life can weigh heavy on someones thoughts causing them to feel secluded and left alone to deal with their issues.
We all have had things happen to us that can make our day hard to deal with. There are times when nothing seems to be going right and all you want to do is escape, to be by yourself and gather your thoughts. That happens, because that is reality. Bills, relationships, our health, death and even not getting our own way can all bring on added stress.
So as we go about our day, we work hard to get the jobs done the best we can, with the stresses of daily life interrupting our thoughts. When suddenly out of nowhere comes a "thank-you," maybe you question the person as to why they said it, but it did help lift your spirit even if it was for only a moment. Now you look differently at the person who said it to you, and you may even say it to someone else.
When you come to God, you are seeking something from Him. So when you receive His love and blessings you are forever thankful to Him. Life with Jesus changes everything. You can't stop thinking about Him. You can't stop being thankful for the new life you are living. There is an unexplainable joy in your life that you want to share with everyone.
You still have bills, relationships, your health, death and temptations to deal with, but the joy of God in your life has brought you to Jesus. You trust God and are grateful for His blessings. You are thankful to Jesus and the paths He leads you on. It is that joy, in each and everyday, that you take with you everywhere and causes you to be thankful to God for peace and contentment.
There is nothing else except love caused by the thankfulness of living in God's presence. You are seen by others as a good hard working person who likes to help and has concern for the well-being of those around them. You live a life that is pleasing to God, always focused on Him. Seeking His wisdom and love to be with you.
Thank-You Father for a heart of gratitude. Thank-You for Jesus and Your love in our lives. 😊
