Pot holes and bumps.

2 Timothy chapter 3 verses 16 and 17.
"The whole Bible was given to us by inspiration from God and is useful to teach us what is true and make us realize what is wrong in our lives; it straightens us out and helps us do what is right. It is God's way of making us well prepared at every point, fully equipped to do good to everyone."

When we make a mistake and it seems like the mistakes keep coming---we call it, "one of those days when everything just seems to be off." How do you get back on track? How do you gather yourself together and feel right again?
Guilt can be hard to overcome. Being truthful helps, but the idea of the mistake done in the first place is still there eating away at you. Forgiveness helps also, but still the knowledge is still there and you are having a hard time getting over it. Giving yourself the time to heal also helps. Some people will forget quickly about the mistakes made and yet others may not forget so quickly and it is that thought that stays in your thoughts.
God is amazing in the way He talks to you, bringing to you the necessary love and forgiveness that you need. He already knows, how you are feeling and He already knows, that you feel regret and guilt. He knows, that you want to hide and have peace once again in your thoughts. And you know, that He is there. And you know, that He wants you to lean on Him.
No matter what happens to us in life, never turn your back on God. You may feel abandoned and feel left alone in dealing with your mistakes. But that is not true. Look over your shoulder and you will see that God is still there, wanting you to turn to Him and to love upon Him. He wants you to trust in Him, more that without Him.
When you read the bible, you read the stories of others and how they too, made mistakes and how too, they trusted God and you see that, He changed what was wrong into joy for His blessings. God is always forgiving and ready to hear those who call upon Him. Through Jesus we see that God has made a way that we can walk with Him always.
Guilt is God's way of letting you know that you did wrong. And just like any loving Father He wants you to seek His love and forgiveness. Your life is with Jesus and not harboring the shame of mistakes made. Pray for guidance and wisdom. And then pray some more. Stay in the Light of Jesus and you will find forgiveness and love. You will find that others forgive and if needed the right words will be spoken to extend the love of God through you.
You are His child and you have Jesus in your life and you feel the love of the Holy Spirit. There is no better place to be then living in the presence of God. Sure mistakes get made, but others who know you and know God also, will know that your intentions to hurt are false, and that you are seeking God and holding close to following right living.
Restless nights and wrong thoughts that block you from seeing God are easily overcome by calling out to Jesus and spending time reading the bible. Confession and prayer with other believers will help you seek God and His love. Your old life of dealing with things on your own are gone. You belong to God's family now and wow, what an amazing, loving and strong family it is.
Thank you Father for Jesus and the joy of knowing you are always there. You hear our prayers and guide us in Your paths as we step over the pot holes and bumps of life. 😊

O Lord, You are so good and kind, so ready to forgive; so full of mercy for all who ask for your aid."

"Have two goals: wisdom---that is, knowing and doing right---and common sense. Don't let them slip away, for they fill you with living energy, and are a feather in you cap. They keep you safe from defeat and disaster and from stumbling off the trail. With them on guard you can sleep without fear; you need not be afraid of disaster or the plots of wicked men. for the Lord is with you; He protects you."
