Follow directions.

Ephesians chapter 5 verses 17 and 18.
"Don't act thoughtlessly, but try to find out and do whatever the Lord wants you to. Don't drink to much wine, for many evils lie along that path; be filled instead with the Holy Spirit, and controlled by Him."

Oh, how I used to love escaping into a world of drunkenness. There didn't seem to be a care in the world for what was going on around me at the time. There was laughter and maybe even some stories that I might remember the next day. I would drink until I got drunk and then probably do the stupid things that came along with not having all your facilities about you.
Lets just say I got into trouble. I would stay up until the wee hours of the morning. Sometimes wandering around getting myself into mischief. And at other times there would be drunkenness with others, in close quarters, and in most cases arguments, and our built up frustrations would come out.
It is silly when I think back about how I looked forward to Friday evenings and whatever the night would bring. What a false world I was living in and I am so thankful to not be there now. People do not like being told that they should not do something. They do not like to be told that what they are doing is wrong and they should change their ways. It is not easy to let go of the things we enjoy, but sometimes it is necessary, in order for a person have a normal happy content life.
You are the one who has to make the choice. It is by focusing on what you want, that gets you where you want to be. God wants us to know Him through Jesus. He wants us to trust Him to give us a good happy life. He does that through His loving kindness, to those who come to Him.
Why would I want to trust God, when I can get what I want by following my own direction? You know, by making mistakes and having heartache? And by hurting others and only seeing your goals? Then in the end you get where you wanted to be, only to find you are not as happy as you would have thought and all because you were stubborn.
Belonging to God's family means living in His light. The light of His world where you trust in Him. Where you talk with Him and feel good and at home, in His presence. Everywhere you go He is with you. There is no longer your wants but thankfulness for where He is taking you. He knows your dreams, so talk to Him and trust in His guidance.
There will be a rocky road ahead of you, for reaching our dreams will not be easy, but He will help you safely through. And there will be praise with each step you take and an amazing story to tell when you reach your goal. Jesus strengthens you and as you finish one goal He is there, prepared to continue walking with you. And you look to see that He is there. You do not miss a moment of the joy you experience with Him being at your side, in each and every step you take, until the moment comes when you will meet Him face to face.
So face you challenges with Jesus and you will be thankful that you did. And because you walk with Him, others will benefit from His presence around you also. So you see? Having it your way may sparkle with the dreams of what you want and what you think it will look like, but if you do not have the support then you will struggle and possibly fail.
Have a clear mind where you feel happy at what you are doing, thankful that Jesus is with you and you have the best support you could ever get. You are so happy that others are amazed at your abilities and you don't hesitate to give the honor and praise to God .
Thank you Father for Jesus. Thank you for helping me to let go of my own wants and to really start a new life where I walk in your glory and joy. 😊

Psalms chapter 34 verses 1-3.
"I will praise the Lord no matter what happens. I will constantly speak of His glories and grace. I will boast of all His kindness to me. Let all who are discouraged take heart. Let us praise the Lord together, and exalt His name."

Psalms chapter 1 verses 1 and 2.
"Oh, the joys of those who do not follow evil men's advice, who do not hang around with sinners, scoffing at the things of God. But they delight in doing everything God wants them to, and day and night are always meditating on His laws and thinking of ways to follow Him more closely."

Exodus chapter 17 verses 19 and 20.
And Moses told them, "Don't leave it overnight."
But of course some of them wouldn't listen, and left it until morning and when they looked, it was full of maggots and had a terrible odor; and Moses was very angry with them.

But some of the people went out anyway to gather food, even though it was the Sabbath, but there wasn't any.
