Comfort!

Deuteronomy chapter 30 verse 20.
"Choose to love the Lord your God and to obey Him and to cling to Him, for He is your life and the length of your days."

What is it that makes you uncomfortable. That makes you restless and watching out for it? Is being alone or poverty? Maybe it is getting old and losing control of your ability to make the decisions or maybe it is death itself.
How do you feel when someone talks about God? Are you doubtful and reject any such conversation? Maybe you want to believe that there is a God who can do all that He promises, but have a hard time believing in someone that you cannot touch or see?
God is real and Jesus is real and there is hope. There is comfort and peace to be had in a world that is filled with temptation and shinny things you want to have. We know that life is only so long and that it can be filled with sadness caused by worry. There is also love. The love of family, and feelings of happiness. Which is stronger in your life, sadness or happiness?
Most people have a good combination of both which brings with it the pressures of maintaining what you have. God wants you to know Jesus and to follow Him and hold tightly to His teachings. Listen and work hard at guarding your life. It is the Holy Spirit with you that will keep you safe and prepared to offer God's love.
God is not just there when you need Him. He is with you always and always has been. He wants you to see Him and to live with Him. He wants your trust in Him to guide you and to keep you safe. You will always have concerns  and can't get away from attitudes, but you can keep your eyes on Jesus and count on the strength of the Holy Spirit to watch over you.
Your actions will be proper and the words you speak will be helpful. All because you are living with God who is in your sights at all times. It is your want to please Him that keeps you focused on trusting Him. That brings on feelings of comfort and peace. You are content with who you are and the life you have. God provides all your needs. You love your spouse, you love your family and you love listening to others, serving where you can and talking about Jesus. You are no longer wandering from one situation to the next, wondering if the outcome will be good or not, but welcome challenges as they come knowing that you trust God and love Jesus. You live with Him.
Thank you Father for Jesus and salvation. For Your love and knowing our love for You. 😊
