Play together

John chapter 20 verse 21 and 22.
Jesus spoke to them again and said, "As the Father has sent Me, even so I am sending you." Then He breathed on them and told them, "Receive the Holy Spirit."

Do you see Jesus in full clarity or is He someone whom you recognize but just can't place? Each day we face our family, friends and those we who are only passers by. Do we realize that when we are meeting them, Jesus who lives in us through the Holy Spirit is meeting them too?
We are no longer individuals who make our own way through life, like we were before coming to God. It is so easy to fall short of remembering all the time, that we are now God's children. Someones attitude can distract us. Or the struggle to pay our debits can cause us to look in the wrong places for an easy way out. Maybe it is the lure of old habits and the desire for something different that temps you.
There are many reasons why we get distracted and it can happen in the blink of an eye. That is why, when those moments happen, we who have a life with God are fortunate. His Holy Spirit fills us with the self-control that we need. We hear our own thoughts telling us that it is not right to wander or it is not right the words we just spoke.
Listen to your inner small voice when it calls out, Take hold of it and gain the needed strength to turn away from doing something that you will later regret or to step back and quickly regain your composer after feelings have been hurt. Learn to quickly forgive and how to get along and how to represent Jesus so that you are using what God has given you. Others need Him too, so do not judge but be humble and use your tongue for good words steering people to know Jesus.
Jesus is God's Son who gave His life so that we could come to have a life with God. He is known as the first to return to God with many brothers to follow after Him. We are His brothers whom He left filled with the Holy Spirit to continue letting people know that God wants us to get the message of salvation out to others.
The time will come when Jesus returns to get all of His brothers and bring us to live with Him in heaven where there is the peaceful forever Light of God. In the mean time, serve God with the joyful heart of His child playing in His backyard as He keeps watchful protection over us.
Thank you Father for the joy of belonging to Your family. Thank you for Jesus and our story of salvation to share. 😊
