Realizing God.
2 Chronicles chapter 33 verse 12.
"Then at last he came to his senses and cried out humbly to God for help. And the Lord listened, and answered his plea by returning him to Jerusalem and to his kingdom! At the point he finally realized that the Lord was really God!"
It seems there has to be a climax point in our lives before we will break down and ask for help. I read about it in the bible, I hear about it in the testimonies of others and I myself had to get to that point before I would call out to God for help.
Did I believe there was a God who could help? I was not sure but I had no other place to turn. All the other resources I had tried failed and I was not able to help myself. God does answer the prayers of those who call out to Him. That way people know it was God who gave them the help they needed.
It is not easy to over come anger caused by never ending attempts and failures. A common saying is, "How can you ask me to follow a God who allows such heartache and sadness to go on?" It is the bitterness inside that blocks people from knowing God's blessing of Jesus.
No matter how many people try to tell you the right paths to walk upon. It is your decision and timing that allows it to happen. God is waiting, patiently. Jesus is ready to show you the way. He is not just a quick fix that will help for a moment, He is welcoming you into His family. If you want to come and stay, then ask Jesus to bring you with Him.
All the people who are Christians and love talking about their experiences are there to let you know that God is real. You are the one who has to call out and make the effort of getting to know what Jesus is saying. And like the testimonies of so many others, you will gain a story of your own to tell.
You can know peace and an everlasting joy. Let God's patience enter your life and then watch as He gives you the strength and ideas to walk in the Light of Jesus. You will see changes. New doors will open, new opportunities will come your way and you will be thankful. The bitterness will fall away, replaced by the hope of things to come.
God offers a way to live that brings satisfaction and along with being content comes peace of mind. So you see, God is offering happiness through trusting in Him and the way to God is through Jesus.
Thank-you Father for caring so much. Finally I see and understand. 😊
