Lighten your day.

Romans chapter 2 verse 29.
"He is looking for those with changed hearts and minds. Whoever has that kind of change in his life will get his praise from God, even if not from you."

All around us are distractions that take our thoughts in all other directions and cause us to quickly forget to give the praise and honor to God for anything and everything we are doing.
Did you have a good nights sleep? Give Him thanks for that. Did you prepare yourself for the day without too many aches and pains? Give Him thanks for that. Did you greet your spouse/family with a joyful "good morning"? Give Him the thanks for the gift of your spouse/family. Did you prepare a healthy meal to kick off your day with? Give Him thanks for that. Did you safely walk out the door and drive to work? Give Him the thanks for that. Did you succeed with the hard tasks put in front of you? Give Him the thanks for that. Did you share God with a thankful heart to someone? Give Him thanks for that.
We are not perfect and it is easy to get bogged down by the stuff we do. I would like to tell you that there is peace and joy to be found in life with God, but that only comes to those who put God into their lives. If He is not present in where we are and what we are involved in, then why should He do anything for us?
The best way to remember something is through practice and devotion to succeed. So, if you want something bad enough you will do what it takes, to see that it happens. That is what God is looking for. Someone who He has touched and wants what He is offering.
I could tell you that a life with God is amazing and far more than I would have ever expected it to be. I could tell you of the peace and the joy that He fills my heart with. I could tell you that Jesus is all that He teaches to be and much, much more. I could tell you of His wonderful blessings upon my life and the thankfulness I have for Him being there.
But that is only words to you. You need to experience Him for yourself. And that is done by starting your day with Him. Recognizing Him in all you do and by telling Him how thankful you are and all the time, for He likes to hear from you. The more you see Him touch your life, the more He wants to guide you and love you.
That is what others see. They see the wonderful love and peace you have for God and how thankful you are for Jesus. There will be challenges but that is where faithfulness stands out.
Step away from the humdrum's and the same old, same old and into the light of Jesus, where God shines in all you do.
Thank you Father for the daily reminder that You and Jesus are first. How thankful we are. 😊

"Just tell me what to do and I will do it, Lord. as long as I live I'll wholeheartedly obey. Make me walk along the right paths for I know how delightful they really are."
