Comfy?

Jeremiah chapter 9 verses 23 and 24.
The Lord says, "Let not the wise man bask in his wisdom, nor the mighty man in his might, nor the rich man in his riches. Let them boast in this alone: That they truly know Me and understand that I am the Lord of justice and of righteousness whose love is steadfast, and that I love to be this way."

It is nice to be comfortable in our new found love for God and Jesus, but we should not take advantage of God. We are to always be on guard for the evil temptations of our old ways.
You are to constantly talk with God and read the bible. You are to forever give praise to God for His Son, Jesus. You are to walk with Him everywhere, all the time, counting on Him to guide you and to keep you safe. Expect Him to be there for you and seek His wisdom and love.
It is in our nature to do wrong and to look at temptation, but we can overcome by keeping our faith strong, by keeping our eye's upon Jesus. God will provide all that you need, as long as you are putting Him first in your life.
Falling away from God and back into sadness and guilt is not hard to do. It is a fear that no one wants to do. So, we work hard to walk with God and obey His rules. That way we can live in peace, knowing that we are living as His children, under His watchful eye.
Everyday Christians have to interact with others, who do not see God as they do. But that does not mean they let go of who they are in order to get along and fit in. We can be kind and interact as representatives of God, with the confidence that God is always with us and if the opportunity arises to share Jesus than we will joyfully have the right words to speak.
There is no half way point with God. Either you are following Jesus and trusting in His teachings or you are not. The comfort and peace comes from belonging to His family, where you are focused on living a life that pleases God and He gets to show you off, just as any proud father would their child.
You will stand out as His. People will see Him in your actions. People will enjoy being around you and interacting with you. You will be asked for help and you will freely offer to help. There is His love in your heart and others will see that and maybe you will be able to share the joy you are feeling.
Thank-you Father for Jesus and a peace that is far more than we could ever expect or understand.  😊
