John chapter 13 verse 35.
"Your strong love for each other will prove to the world that you are my disciples."

I always thought it is wrong for a man to show weakness through caring and love for others. As a guy, I had to act like I did not care about feelings. I was right there among the people, laughing at their jokes as they humiliated others. Or I would even be the instigator of such hurtful things. I remember the slander and the mistreatment of those over weight or those with a physical disability or those who were slower than others at comprehending what was being asked of them.
The way guys talked about women was not very nice either. If you were gay or poor then you were susceptible to the ridicule of others. Being of a different race or color was always good for making fun of. Even being the new person to an area made you a target of those who grew up there. Bullying did not stop at the school years, but continued into the work place and the community.
It was when I started to walk with Jesus that I learned how wrong and hurtful the things I was participating in really were. No one likes to be made fun of and it can really hurt when you hear what the comments being said are. You may have thought all along that these people are my friends and we joke together, but when an embarrassing moment happens to you and you are made the brunt of others ridicule, it can hurt.
Racial slurs and sexual comments are quite common among crowds. When two or more are put together than it is easy for judgement to set in. Two laugh at another's expense and to avoid having attention drawn to you, you hide by participating and laughing along with those wrongful situations.
There is a lot wrong with this world and people learn at a young age that it is a watch your back world because no one else is going to watch it for you. The weak get weaker and the strong get stronger. That is why there is so much domineering happening, men think they are stronger than women and that it is ok to bully and hurt others. That is mixed up! How wrong they are!
Living that way can be an awfully lonely and withdrawn life, where no one really likes you or being around you. Your life does not have to be that way. Some people put on a good front by having a family and children acting responsible and being involved in events and travel. But they still continue to have the old ways of being catty and critical of others in them.
When you come to God and get to know Jesus than you really start to see the difference in the way you have been living. The analogy of  "stepping out of the darkness and into the light" which is used to describe the difference between life with God and living in the world, really does make sense.
Jesus is the tallest strongest example of a real man if there ever was one. The sacrifices He made for our freedom, and the love He expressed through caring for others, show us how wrong we have been to mistreat others. It is through loving and caring that the walls are brought down and that relationships of trust are built upon.
So don't run and hide any more. Don't be the "left out lonely guy" who wears a false face to impress others. Get to know Jesus and walk with Him in life. Become the one that people enjoy being around. Who knows, what beautiful people you will meet, imagine the stories you will get to hear. You will be invited to be involved and you will be an example of Jesus among those around you.
Thank-you Father for the living light of Your Son, Jesus and for the invitation through Him to come to You. 😊

Matthew chapter 16 verse 25.
Jesus replied, "For anyone who keeps his life for himself shall lose it; and anyone who loses his life for me shall find it again."

Matthew chapter 5 verse 43-45.
Jesus stated; "There is a saying, 'Love your friends and hate your enemies.' But I say; Love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you! In that way you will be acting as true sons of your Father in heaven. For He gives His sunlight to both the evil and the good, and sends rain on the just and the unjust too."

Jeremiah chapter 33 verse 3.
"Ask me and I will tell you some remarkable secrets about what is going to happen here."
