Be Humbled!

Malachi chapter 3 verse 13.
"Your attitude has been proud and arrogant," says the Lord. But you say, "What do You mean? What have we said that we shouldn't?" You have said , "It is foolish to worship God and obey Him. What good does it do to obey His laws and sorrow and mourn for our sins?"

That is pretty normal talk for people who do not want to proclaim that God is real. I can understand it because it is easier to get up each day and to go about your life accepting what happens as the day progresses, than to believe that God is watching over every move you make. It sounds creepy. Who wants someone making them accountable for all they do?
To think of God as anything other than a Father who loves and cares for all people, is wrong and that is why God sent Jesus. Too many people grow up wandering through life without guidance. The kind of guidance that comes from experience and knowledge.
Lets say that your parents were addicted to drugs and alcohol than the chances are that you will grow up knowing of that way of life. Or maybe you grew up in a household that was filled with worries and anxieties, those same ways of living can be passed on to you. Maybe you were surrounded by constant liars and thieves. Maybe there was circumstances that led to being unfaithful to a spouse or the premature death of someone you loved dearly. All of these situations and many other scenarios can shape and form us into how we perceive life to be.
Does that not sound like a topsy turvey life where each situation that arises is dealt with as we see fit? Well, it is your life and you are the one who makes the decisions. Lets hope your decisions are the right ones so that you are living a peaceful life and you do not have to many overwhelming circumstances.
It is through the experiences of others or through our own hit and miss decisions that we hope to get by without to many instances causing us grief. God sent Jesus to tell us that we can trust in Him to guide us.
Imagine God wanting to take us under His wing. God knows our past and He knows our future so why not let Him direct your every step. He is willing to accept us for who we are, no matter what our past looked like. Don't you be the one to judge yourself, tell God that you are lost and need His help. Then watch as He changes all that your life is about. Because you are thankful to Him, He will flourish your life with goodness.
You are not meant to understand why God loves you as He does but to accept His love, thankful, filled with gratitude and joy. The people around you will see the change. The old ways will be past and you will have a new way of living where you spend time in knowing Jesus and sharing God's plan with everyone you meet.
Make this year the year of change. Step away from unhappiness and into a life of joy. God will provide you with all your needs and He will keep a close eye on you so that you are meeting the right people, so that you are staying away from temptation and that you are bringing His love to others.
Thank-you Father for wisdom and seeing your touch in the lives of those who know you. Thank-you Jesus for showing us the direction we need to walk. Trusting God with our lives. 😊
