Unforeseen changes

Proverbs chapter 16 verse 9.
"We should make plans---counting on God to direct us."

You wake up each morning and start your day thinking I'm going to work and I've got this or that to do. Then guess what, the day turns out to be nothing like what you thought it would be and the stuff you wanted to do, did not get done and has to be done at another time. That is only one scenario. How about when your worries or wishes, actually comes true. A great example is Christmas. The added concerns about the costs and stress of travel or entertaining. Only to have January to arrive and everything had gone smooth and you really enjoyed yourself with family and friends.
Remember your work load that had not gotten done? You return to do it and find it has been done and not just that, but that it has been done properly.
Kindness, is an amazing thing that can be hard to understand and can leave you feeling good about people.
How do you explain the unexplained? Maybe you explain it by agreeing that there are kind people in the world and you gratefully accept it and move on. Maybe something happened in your day that made you say; "Wow, I'm so glad I changed my day, for if I had not, I would surely have missed this. Maybe at the end of your day you see how the changes you made affected someone else's life and how grateful they were to you.
We don't have control of our days! We are so influenced by others and especially those who we work for. No matter what your day brings, even if it is what you had planned, a curve ball can come at us, at anytime, throwing off the most well laid plans. Interruptions throws off your thoughts that can easily cause mistakes to be made. They could be outside influences occupying your thoughts or just people around you, talking to you.
That is what life does, each day is not in our control, so we have to deal with the changes as they come. Hopefully you accept change well. Maybe you find relief in having a drink to unwind from your day. Maybe it is rest and peace you seek. Maybe the turmoil gets taken home and then taken out on those closest to you. What you are really trying to do is find reason as to why your day turned out the way it did. To have justification in your own mind, to make sense of it all.
I want you to know about God and who Jesus is.
God, is the creator of all! Everything! God sent Jesus to tell us that we no longer have to struggle with each day but can trust in Him to guide us through it, leaving us refreshed and at peace. Through Jesus we can make sense of everything, for it is God's will, that your life be as it is. He has a plan for you and is waiting patiently for you to turn to Him and acknowledge His love for you. To acknowledge who Jesus is and that you are trusting in Him to walk with you everywhere. We are still the same person as before and our own thoughts and egos will cause us to make mistakes, but with God your thoughts will be on pleasing Him and loving others. You will be prompted to shun temptation and evil, knowing that, it is not God's will for you to do wrong. You will know how to say thank-you and accept with joy the goodness of others.
You will start your day by asking God to walk with you and to give you the right thoughts to think and the right words to speak that will bring honor and glory to Him. You will ask Him to use you to help others know Him.
So should I make plans? Yes, you should and trust that God is right there with you. You will be so grateful for His blessings.
Thank-you Father for the joy of each day. Thank-you Jesus for your peace in my life. 😊
