Good thoughts and peaceful grin.

Judges chapter 6 verse 13.
"Stranger" Gideon replied, "if the Lord is with us, why has all this happened to us?"

Love sucks or maybe the other way around. Love is the best thing that can ever happen to someone for without it we would be alone to deal with the up's and downs of life. Our personal experiences would only be heard by our animals or by those who are too busy to give us the attention we need.
There are many reasons love can hurt. One of the biggest is when the someone we care deeply for dies. Now they are no longer with you. Their memories live in our thoughts but physically they are no longer with us. That makes us sad and left wondering why someone has to die.
People learn very quickly that life is fragile and that it can be taken away at any time. We learn that all things have a limited time here on earth.
God's promises are for everyone. He promises eternal life. He promises to sit with us and hold us close when we are sad. He promises to give us the right thoughts and the right words that bring strength and love into our hearts and the hearts of others.
It is our memories of a life spent with one another that will never leave us. It is those memories of good times and bad times that strengthen us to continue speaking fondly and enjoying a quiet grin when a good thought touches us.
It is even better when we believe that our loved one is with God. That's when we experience a peace that no one can explain except to say "I'm happy for the time I had and now I'm happy knowing they are with God, not suffering but in His loving arms."
The inevitable will happen. I'm so glad that I get to experience love and the memories that they bring.
Thank-you Father for Zoie. She was a good friend. 😊

Judges chapter 7 verse 15.
When Gideon heard the dream and the interpretation, all he could do was just stand there worshiping God!

Matthew chapter 5 verse 4.
"Blessed are those who mourn for they will be comforted."

2 Corinthians chapter 1 verses 3 and 4.
What a wonderful God we have---He is the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the source of every mercy and the one who so wonderfully comforts and strengthens us in our hardships and trials. And why does He do this? So that when others are troubled, needing our sympathy and encouragement, we can pass onto them this same help and comfort God has given us."
