Aging Gracefully.

2 Corinthians chapter 9 verse 15.
"Thank God for His Son---His gift too wonderful for words."

What is it that brings happiness and peace to your life? Maybe it is a movie or reading. Maybe it is children and family. Maybe it is working and seeing accomplishment.
As people who go through each day with youthful health and strength until our aging bodies can no longer do the things we used to, each moment is precious and the older we get the more we understand that. The energy level we have when young makes us restless and looking for ways to disperse that energy. As we get older our health feels the effects of the things we have done in our youth. No matter how hard we try we cannot get away from the aches and pains of trying to do the things our minds think we can.
So, what do we do to be happy and thankful for the life we have? You can continue to try find happiness and peace with the life that you have created or you can turn to God and see Jesus.
It is a proven fact that doing things on our own causes us to be the only ones that we can blame when stuff happens. God is inviting us to see Him as our Father, who misses us and wants us to come home. We have gone astray and when you see that you are alone dealing with the issues caused by an aging life, then you will see Jesus who is looking for you.
In Luke chapter 15, Jesus uses the parable of the lost sheep to give the example of how He finds us and brings us the joy of being found. You belong to Gods family and He does not want to see you live without Him. Try trusting in His promises. Try believing in the things Jesus says. There is an eternal peace and happiness to be had and it can be found in a life with Jesus.
Thank-you Father for never giving up. I called out to You and You were right there. 😊

John chapter 10 verse 14.
Jesus said, "I am the Good Shepherd and know My own sheep and they know Me, just as My Father know Me and I know my Father, and I lay down My life for the sheep."

2 Corinthians chapter 9 verse 8.
"God is able to make it up to you by giving you everything you need and more, so that there will not only be enough for your own needs, but plenty left over to give cheerfully to others."

Philippians chapter 4 verse 13.
"I can do everything God asks me to with the help of Christ who gives me the strength and power."
