The Goal

1 Peter chapter 1 verse 10.
"This salvation was something the prophets did not fully understand. Though they wrote about it, they had many questions as to what it all could mean."

The nursery rhyme by Mother Goose, "There was a crooked man" is a good example of what our own lives can be like. "He walked a crooked mile." Wouldn't it be nice if the road to our lives was smooth and straight where we have an idea of what lies ahead? I'm not saying that we would be living boring lives with no excitement. No, in fact I'm talking about the totally opposite, where we get to experience all the good things of life but never loose sight of the road that leads us to our home. Our lives have so many up's and down's where it is easy to get miss directed and loose sight of where we want to be. We all want to have a good life, where there are not too many issues to deal with, but what happens is age and circumstances. A crooked road, can easily take us all over the place and make it really difficult for us to have some kind of hope and confidence.
That statement is not true and there are many people who can prove it wrong. Caring people are the ones who want to help those who have wandered too far, find the hope that they need. Life is never so mixed up that we can't get back on track. This world is so beautiful and filled with such amazing things to experience.
If you can believe that God created our lives with a beginning and an end, then you will see that our lives are the road which He wants to walk with us on, showing off all that He has provides. Our goal in life is to never loose focus of that road and the home He provides for us at the end. Never think of yourself as not being able to have a good life, Jesus is there to help you find your way. The church is there, filled with people like yourself who once were lost but are seeking their way with Jesus. The bible is filled with stories of people who were lost and misguided only to seek Jesus and find their way.
So you see, you are not alone. There is hope for a better life where you can love and enjoy life walking with God. Even after walking a crooked mile, the old man ended up living in a crooked house with family. Jesus can lead you out of the darkness and into the light where you can see where you are going. A peaceful life lies in trusting Jesus to bring you to where God is. Where so many others have found their way and want to help you stay on track.
Thank-You Father for reaching out when I reach out to you. 😊

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, so that who ever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life. God did not send Jesus into the world to condemn it, but to save it."
