Sunday best.

Zechariah chapter 3 verse 4.
"Remove his filthy clothing" Turning to Joshua He said, "See I have taken away your sins and now I am giving you these fine new clothes."

Putting on our "Sunday best" refers to getting dressed in the best clothing you have. On Sundays, our parents would dress us in good clothing so that they could take us out and show us off. They were proud to have children and to dress them up to show them off. No matter how hard they tried to have us act appropriately, we still acted as children and got into mischief. What's even funnier, is now that we are parents, we continue to dress our children in good clothes hoping that they will act in a manner that brings joy to our hearts. We all like to hear others say "Look, that is such a well mannered child." Parents also want their children to learn that responsibility comes with looking your best.
It is too bad that sometimes we look our best and at others we wander off the trail loosing focus of right living. God is a Father who cares. He knows we don't always do right and lot's of times end up in trouble or calamity. God sent Jesus to show us that He loves us and wants us to live with Him. Jesus can make clean the paths that you walk on so that you can keep your eyes on God and His guidance. So how happy do you think God is when He see's you living your best for Him? God is not your average parent He can bless you with the wisdom and the strength you need to light your paths so that you can see clearly and not stumble. He wants you to live your best so that you can see the affect of His touch that brings love and joy to your heart. You will live your best because you will be thankful to Him always, never wanting to be out of His sight.
Thank-you Father for sending Jesus and for showing us that you want our best.😊

Proverbs chapter 4 verse 11.
"I would have you learn this great fact: that a life of doing right is the wisest life there is. If you live that kind of life, you'll not limp or stumble as you run. Carry out my instructions, don't forget them, for they will lead you to real living."

Proverbs chapter 4 verse 23-27.
"Above all else, guard your affections. For they influence everything else in your life. Spurn the careless kiss of a prostitute. Stay far from her. Look straight ahead, do not even turn your head to look. Watch your step. Stick to the path and be safe. Don't sidetrack, pull your foot back from danger."

Philippians chapter 4 verse 13.
"For I can do everything God asks me to with the help of Christ, who gives me the strength and power."
