Acts chapter 3 verse 28.
"You will give me back my life and give me wonderful joy in your presence."

How sorry are we? Mistakes can be embarrassing and the the only way to make amends is to swallow our pride and admit to our wrongs. Even if you are able to admit to making a wrong, it takes a lot for people to forgive. There is a saying; "Time heals all wounds."   That saying does not always apply to forgiveness but being humble and having patience can help. By hiding away and thinking all will be ok, does not work, for at some point the mistakes we have done will catch up to us and have to be dealt with.
Having a sincere heart and following through on promises, can show that we have seen our mistake and will take the necessary steps to learn and never make the same mistake again. Being honest and truthful to yourself and to those around you earns respect and faithfulness.
Jesus tells us that God wants to helps us live by those values and to trust in Him daily to hold true to His promises. By coming to God and asking for forgiveness, are the first steps to admitting that we have lived wrongfully without the guidance and love of God. Living with God is like having a second set of eyes looking over every move that you make wanting to keep you safe by giving you the wisdom and confidence to make the right choices.
Even then our own pride can still get in the way as we make decisions that cause mistakes to happen. Jesus came to tell us that God is a forgiving Father who wants your love and focus to be on Him and not the foolish decisions we make on our own. Thank God all day everyday for Jesus and for His loving forgiveness. Talk to Him about your life and trust Him to guide you properly. He knows we are stubborn and are easily influenced but He see's those who walk with Him and trust in Him and no matter what happens He will be there to see us through.
You will see the touch of God, as your patience increases and you find yourself with the wisdom, knowledge and understanding to make the right choices. That then leads to happiness as you trust Him, giving God the praise for the things accomplished. Thanking God for Jesus and a welcoming place to live.
So you see? Living in guilt is not necessary, forgiveness is a easy admitting to our mistakes and following through on the promises to never make the same mistake again. What is even better, is if you are able to see that Jesus is there to take you to God who will show you how to walk the right paths daily. Trust in Him, talk to Him and love all that He does for you.
Thank-you Father for forgiveness and for your love in our lives. Thank-you for Jesus. 😊
