Having Fun

Ephesians chapter 6 verse 13.
"So use every piece of God's armor to resist the enemy whenever he attacks and when it is all over, you will be standing up."

What do you call having fun? Is it having a good time, where you are laughing and all the concerns and troubles of your life are forgotten about for that moment? When that happens, don't you wish it would never end? Unfortunately life is not all peaches and cream, so when the fun times do happen take hold of them and store them away to be recalled when cheering up is needed. Maybe a fun memory was the way your spouse made you feel loved and accepted or a joke that was told or good times spent with friends and family. It could have been the vacation that made memories with rides, warm weather and good dinners. There is so much that distracts us from seeing all the fun times we could be having and are missing out on all because we are fighting or worrying.
God has called us to a place where there can be joy in your heart and thankfulness for not being alone. Jesus is the truth and the way to God. It is fighting the truth that pulls people into wrong living and wrong thinking. Harmony, is getting along with one focus in mind and that focus should be Jesus and the way we live with God. Are you able to turn your head away from things that are going to lead to hurting yourself or others? Are you able to see the work of God in all aspects of your life? Is He the first one you call to when being attacked by others who say or do things that are wrong? God knows that our lives are not always fun, so He offers us His protection. He looks to see if we really are calling to Him and asking for His help. That is where our focus should be and not on the things of this world. God can do all things if you put Him first place in your life. Now how does that make you feel? Knowing that God is there for you wanting to spread His love through you and wanting to give you a life of peace. It makes me feel good, especially when I see the results of His promises.
Yes, life can be fun. Push out the garbage and replace it with your new life, living in the presence of the one who loves you. The moment temptation attacks or wrong words are spoken, call upon the Holy Spirit. Turn to God and shout out for protection. You will be amazed how easy it is to turn from temptation or you will be amazed how God's love gave you the right words to speak. Our body language speaks volumes to others and when they see the peace of life with God that walks with you then they may be subdued or walk way confused. Who knows, maybe someone will ask you about your peace and that is when you can tell them about Jesus.

Ephesians chapter 6 verse 4.
"And now a word to you parents. Don't keep on scolding and nagging your children, making them angry and resentful. Rather, bring them up with the loving discipline the Lord Himself approves, with suggestions and Godly advice."

Romans chapter 8 verses 31 and 32.
"What can we ever say to such wonderful things as these? If God is on our side, who can stand against us? Since He did not spare His own Son for us but gave Him up for us all, won't He surely give us everything else?"

Proverbs chapter 2 verse 10.
"For wisdom and truth will enter the very center of your being, filling your life with joy."
