Whats on Your mind?

Acts chapter 16 verse 13 and 14.
"On the Sabbath, we went a little way outside the city to a river bank where we understood some people met for prayer and we taught the Scriptures to some women who came. One of them was Lydia, a merchant of purple cloth. She was already a worshiper of God and as she listened to us, the Lord opened her heart and she accepted all that Paul was saying."

What is it that occupies our thoughts? Is it our weight or the argument with our spouse? Is it the concerns we have for our children or an upcoming wedding? Maybe it is world affairs or the warming of the climate? The list of things our minds think about is endless and can easily jump from one concern to another in an instant. How can we have a peaceful sleep and be refreshed the next day? without the help of a pill or an alcoholic drink or some other means of making us tired enough to get the needed sleep. No matter who we are or where we live we have stuff that we care about and it is those things that occupy our thoughts daily. Are we meant to solve all the issues so that we can move on and not have to deal with them again?
God has given us a choice to make through His Son Jesus. He says bring all your worries and concerns to Him. Proverbs chapter 3 verse 5 and 6 says; "Trust in the Lord and do not rely upon yourself anymore but acknowledge Him with all that you do and He will direct your paths." It is as easy as that. If you put God first in all things, all the time and give Him the glory for no matter what the outcome is, then He will will touch your heart with His love. You see love is the key to a peaceful life. We will never escape the busyness of our minds but we can live in the joy of the presence of God. It is pretty amazing when you think about it. Our whole lives have been made up of making decisions and dealing with issues. Yet, God offers us hope through His Son, Jesus. There is no need to struggle with trying all sorts of remedies to find a peaceful nights sleep for a refreshed day. Start with getting to know God's offer. When you meet Jesus, your life may change for the better. It is up to you. God wants you to trust and believe in Him.
Like the disciples talked about in the scripture above. Listening to what is being said about God and Jesus can lead to having your heart opened and a totally new life. I love to share God and talk about Jesus. You never know who might read this blog and accept all that God promises.
Thank-you father for Jesus and Your spoken word. 😊
