Independence

Ruth chapter 2 verse 19.
"So much!" Naomi exclaimed. "Where in the world did you glean today? Praise the Lord for whoever was so kind to you."

We have to do things for ourselves otherwise the necessities of life will not get done and you can find yourself struggling to get by. Life can get a little confusing. One minute we are being taken care of by family and the next we are told to take care of ourselves.
"What? That means I have to learn the ways of the world and have a job and be able to get there and I need a place to stay where I can eat and sleep and be refreshed to go to work to provide." Then there is the fact of what job I have and can I provide for others let alone myself. Women can have babies which means they need to provide for their needs just as someone provided for you. Men need to take care of the woman who they have chosen to have a family with. There is a lot of responsibility.
Life is not easy and can be confusing to the young teenage person who have the roof over their head, food and clothing provided. The young need to be guided in a loving way that gives them a sense of accomplishment and a joy for succeeding. As the adults, it is our responsibility to see they are guided in having what is necessary wisdom to move forward feeling supported with love. Age gives us the experience we need to guide people and prepare them for the consequences of following the wrong paths as well as the right the paths of right living. Independence is nice and it can be had but it also needs to be shared with others so that you can have a peaceful life. We are individuals and have the ability to make choices and it is those choices that make up how we see/feel about ourselves and that others know.
Confused Yet? You do not have to be. Being kind is good. Reaching out to help others and asking questions, showing interest is good. Look to see if there is something you like doing and follow that path. Get satisfaction from seeing accomplishment in whatever path you take. There will always be frustrations for getting somewhere is not easy and requires hard work. Having an outlet to burn off your frustrations and to have time to regather helps.
So you see? Life does not have to be overwhelming. There are people who care as long as you care about yourself and show compassion. God has never wanted us to go anywhere with out Him. He wants us to trust in Him and to live with His family. Jesus is amazing to have in your life and as you walk with Him you will see the wonderful love of God reflect in all you do. Others will know you as someone they can trust and look to for help and encouragement. When you walk with God you feel a sense of comfort. It is like having the smartest most wisest and loving person around you all the time. Who is ready to hold you close and warn you of upcoming obstacles. God is your Father who keeps an eye on you and ready to give you His full attention at all times.
Thank-you Father for life with you. For peace and joy. 😊
