2 Chronicles chapter 20 verse 3.
"Jehoshaphat was badly shaken by the news and determined to beg for help from  the Lord."

As I read today about the worries of King Jehoshaphat I could not help but compare his worries to our own lives. He faced a great army coming against him, wanting to wreck his life. We to have to face battles, so you see whether it is a great army or an argument, it is the same fear that we have to face. It could be an illness or the loss of a loved one. Everyone is attacked and everyone stands up for themselves causing pain and unneeded anxieties. It would be nice if our lives were just one big happy time where we did not care about how others are doing or having to deal with the the concerns they bring to us. God knows each and everyone one of us and He knows what brings us sorrow and restlessness. He is ready to hear our pleas for help at any time and He is ready to help those who call out to Him. In 2 Chronicles we see the pleas of the people and God's replies. "We don't know what to do, but we are looking to you." The Lord says, "Don't be afraid. For the battle is not yours, but God's!" We are not perfect people and we are constantly under fire being judged and mocked for the way we live. God sent Jesus to show us that He cares and that we can turn to Him with our issues and expect Him to guide us safely through the battles. In the heat of battles wrong words can be spoken that can cause long term injuries. What Jesus does is show us love, He shows us the same love that God has for sending Him to help us. You see, by trusting in God we can turn to Him before battles start and ask for patience and His love to prevail. Whats even better is that we are strengthened by His intervening and giving us the right words that calm situations instead of escalating them. God goes on to tell Jehoshaphat "You will not need to fight! Stand quietly and watch the incredible rescue. Don't be afraid or discouraged! Go out there tomorrow, for the Lord is with you!" Trust is a big step but once you take it and see that His promises are true then you will test Him again until your heart takes over and you are filled with the joy of thanksgiving. Jehoshaphat is so filled with thanksgiving that he fell to the ground with his face to the earth and others began to praise the Lord with songs that rang out strong and clear. "Believe in the Lord your God and you shall have success and everything will be alright." Knowing that and by believing that God is with you and that Jesus died for you changes everything. You no longer are relying upon yourself but thanking God for hearing your daily prayers and praise, you are part of His family and He has given you rest.
Thank-you Father for showing me through Jesus that you are with me, hearing my prayers. 😊

Toby Mac does a song "Lord I need you" those words are so true. "When the wolves come around, when my feet hit the ground, I just need, I just need you!"

Psalms chapter 148 verse 13.
All praise the Lord together. For he alone is worthy. His glory is far greater than all the earth and heaven."

Isaiah chapter 41 verse 10.
Fear not, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed. I am your God. I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my victorious right hand.
