Pondering

Ephesians chapter 2 verse 10.
"It is God Himself who has made us what we are and given us new lives from Christ Jesus and long ago He planed that we should spend these lives in helping others."

What? There always seems to be a catch. It's like everything else, in order to get what we want we need to pay for it. Nothing is just freely given anymore. I remember the days when people liked giving a little extra or when you went to the store and bought something, you were getting good value for your money. It has become a survival world where you only get what you want if you can afford it. We work hard for our money and you would think that having a little extra would be nice, but instead it always seems like there is not enough. Everything is made to attract our eye with it's dazzling appeal.

It is true that things cost more and that value is not what it used to be. Our desires have not changed so we work harder to get and to afford to maintain and keep the items we want. Lot's of things happen to us that affect who we are and how we maintain our status as living people. Greed can be a big part of it because we never seem to have enough and we may go as far as doing whatever it takes to provide. Living with our thoughts and not sharing our troubles and concerns can have a big affect on how we live. We can't always lie and deceive others. We can't hide away from the world and expect that all will be ok. So, we work along side others to get what we need. To some that may not be the best way of living but it has to be done in order to survive. There will always be envy and jealousy because some people seem to have more than others and that dazzles the eye of those who do not have.

Stress comes from being restless about stuff. Would it not be great if we accepted who we are and enjoyed what we have no matter how much or how little it is? Giving up our desires is hard to do but God wants us to bring the troubles of our lives to Him and let Him deal with them. You may think, who does this guy think He is, that can offer to take care of my troubles? I can tell you He is powerful beyond your imagination and does keep His promises. There are lots of people who lives have been changed and affected by God's love. But they are not dealing with your current affairs. God sent Jesus to gently guide others to Him. You can pray to Jesus telling Him of your troubles anywhere, at anytime and He is ready and willing to hear you and help you. It is through Jesus that God will touch your life and you will see how valued you are to Him. Helping others begins with helping yourself and knowing that you are not alone but live with Jesus as God's child. You are someone and He will guide you, take care of you and you will know peace, joy and love as you live in His presence. Who cares what others think! You will be the one that they look to and see the change and the happiness of being content with your life.
Thank-you Father. I am able to be thankful to you for Jesus and the life I have. 😊

Galatians chapter 6 verse 2 and 3.
"Share each others troubles and problems and so obey our Lords command. If anyone thinks He is too great to stoop to this, he is fooling himself. He is really a nobody."

Verse 4.
"Let everyone be sure that he is doing his very best, for then he will have the personal satisfaction of work well done and won't need to compare himself with someone else."

Ephesians chapter 4 verse 17 and 18.
"Live no longer as the unsaved do, for they are blinded and confused. Their closed hearts are full of darkness, they are far away from the life of God because they have shut their minds against Him and they cannot understand His ways."
