Armed

Ephesians chapter 6 verse 11.
"Put on all of God's armor so that you will be able to stand safe against all the strategies and tricks of Satan."

It sounds like we are to live as soldiers properly equipped to protect ourselves and our brothers who fight along side us. The battle is for our lives and fighting against the wrong things that this world attacks us with. Just as a soldier on a battle field can be shot at and either wounded or even killed, we too have discovered the downfalls of continued wrong living. For example addictions can lead to sickness and even death. Following after lust can lead to heartache and loneliness resulting in a life of confusion. There are so many others that can cause our lives to be a battle field, like money, greed and jealousy. That is why we are to bring our battles to God and to trust that He wants to protect us. It would be nice if life and distractions would leave us alone but they don't. Just as soon as one battle is over another one will come along and sometimes there are more than one going on at the same time. We are to pray all the time, asking God for direction believing that through Him we can have the armor we need to stay safe.
A soldier in battle has a directive and he will do whatever it takes to see his mission completed. It is the same with everyday people. Jesus came to live among us and to tell us to step away from fighting our battles as we thought best. He tells us that we have fallen away from God by trusting in our own instincts rather than trusting in His. God does not want us to fail but to know the hope and love that comes from living with Him. A soldier alone can lose but a soldier surrounded by an army has hope.

God offers us the armies of heaven to walk with us and surround us. Life can become overwhelming and to the point of needing help. God is there waiting for you to come to Him through His Son Jesus. What will happen is right living and the avoidance of the things the world causes us to stress over. Each day will seem a little brighter and your sadness will turn to songs of praise and joy for God who has given you His love. You will no longer be fighting alone but will have the direction and support you need to live peacefully.
Come to God and others around you will see the change and may want to follow, seeking the promises of God through Jesus.
Thank-you Father for taking control and steering my life along the lighted paths of righteousness. 😊
