Confidence starts with Trust.

1 Thessalonians chapter 5 verse 23.
"May the God of peace Himself make you entirely pure and devoted to God, and may your spirit and souls and body be kept strong and blameless until that day when our Lord Jesus Christ comes back again. God, who called you to become His child, will do all this for you, just as He promised."

Being bullied around is no fun. It leaves us feeling vulnerable and worthless. We can try to have a good comeback but when it does not help, then we can be left at the mercy of further ridicule. No one likes to be laughed at. Sure sometimes we goof up and it is funny but the direction of laughter is not at who we are but at what we did. It is those long term jabs that make us feel low, leaving us wondering if there is something wrong with who we are. Maybe you feel like you are not good enough to face the public and fear that each time you do someone will find a fault and make unwanted comments. Being accepted is not easy. As a youth there are many things that affect our emotions for we are learning by example and not from experience. That can cause us to trip up and do things that bring attention to us and make us vulnerable. Even as adults with life experiences under our belt we still are at the mercy of those who like to poke fun at others. The religious leaders tried to play games with Jesus seeing if they could get Him to trip up. The thing is, Jesus did not let them get to Him. He was focused on God's plan. He had a purpose that gave Him direction. He had God at His side filling Him with the Holy Spirit. Jesus had the right words to speak and no one was able to accuse Him of fault. That is all fine and dandy for Jesus but how does that apply to what I am dealing with today? Jesus taught that God promises to be with all who come to Him. To fill them with the Holy Spirit so that they are not alone dealing with the issues caused by those who want to attack. God gives all who come to Him, a focus with a purpose of enjoying life with God for what Jesus did, for all people. The bible is filled with encouragement. It is God's word that brings strength and guidance so that we can face each day with the confidence of knowing we are not alone. Put God to the test, read His word and get to know Jesus. Do not face your battles alone, but face them with God's help. Jesus did this and He accomplished His goal of offering eternal life to all who believe He is God's Son.
Thank-You Father for giving us a choice. For giving us a hope and and future. 😊

Psalms chapter 37 verses 25 and 26.
"I have been young and now I am old. And in all my years I have never seen the Lord forsake a man who loves Him, nor have I seen the children of the godly go hungry. Instead, the godly are able to be generous with their gifts and loans to others and their children are a blessing."

Isaiah chapter 59 verse 21.
"As for me, this is my promise to them, says the Lord. My Holy Spirit shall not leave them, and they shall want the good and hate the wrong---- they and their children and their children's children forever."

Jeremiah chapter 29 verse 11.
"For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord. They are plans for good and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope."
