A good story.

Ephesians chapter 2 verses 8 and 9
"For by grace you have been saved through faith and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast."

One day a child was born and He was loved and cared for by His mother and father. He was put into school at 4 years old and was active through public school. He learned at a young age that change happens. For example in grade 4 students lined up to enter the school and as he looked around he realized that most of the boys had stopped using grease in their hair and where changing to the dry look. High school brought on girls and outdoor parties. At 17 he decided to leave school and ask his dad for money to move out. He went looking for work and started with low wage. He was very naive to the ways of the world but learned quickly what needed to be done in order to survive. He once got food poisoning from eating old bread that was kept in the fridge, a lesson learned the hard way.  He always stayed closely in touch with his mom and dad for they cared about how he was doing. He fell in with the wrong crowds and did stuff he should not have done. Most of the time he payed for it the next day as he felt like crap. He was always a good worker and very rarely missed going to his job. There was a motorcycle accident, a few car accidents and run in's with the law, thankfully no one was seriously hurt and no real jail time was spent. I guess he would have been called your average guy growing up with no wife or children to give him responsibilities. Age did change that and he became a home owner and a husband. One day he decided to read the bible wondering if he could find some way to be thankful for getting this far in life without falling apart. It was like the bible was talking directly to his life. There were so many comparisons of how he lived, to the stories talked about in the bible. For example Moses and how he talked back to God or David standing up for himself and facing Goliath. The things that Elijah did or Peter denying Jesus. He especially like the prodigal son and how he returned home. He felt it was like he had been lost his whole life and now with the help of Jesus found his way home. Today, he would be the first to tell you that he walks with the Holy Spirit giving thanks to God for everything.
Thank-you Father for each person who comes to you. We are all different with different stories but you love all of us the same. 😊
