Joy of Achievement

Matthew chapter 22 verses 37-40.
Jesus replied, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul and mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. The second most important is similar, Love your neighbor as much as you love yourself."

Trusting in God is not an easy thing to do for those who have not experienced His love before. I needed change to happen in my life. I was lonely and messed up. So I turned to the bible and learned about God and His love for people. He did change my life and today I am so thankful to Him for being in my life. Living with God brings a peace and a trust that I am happy to share with others.

Life can be hard work and requires constant attention. What happens when we do not do our daily chores? What would happen if we were allowed to pick the days we would work? What happens when we do not spend time with family or friends? What happens when we do not give special attention to our spouse and show them we care? I think you get the picture, our lives can get pretty dirty and messed up really quickly. Just like everything else, we choose the life we want to live. No one is forcing us but for most people we do not like the grief that comes from ignoring things. So we pay attention to details and live as peacefully as possible. Doing a bit each day helps and making the best of what we have to do also helps. Listening to music, humming a song or thinking of good time memories helps as you work. Then rejoicing at the accomplishment of a job well done brings self satisfaction. We all like to be praised for the things we do and that too can happen when others see the happiness of your achievement. Do you remember getting the gold star, the sign of recognition that you felt proud to get and how it gave you incentive to get more? Those stars or rewards are still there and can be seen in the way we live. God wants us to love Him and enjoy life with Him. Jesus teaches that we need to love God first and then love others as we love ourselves. With God in our hearts we strive to do our best for Him and He gives us that star of recognition as we feel proud at the results of our efforts. Others also see the joy we are feeling and the thanksgiving we have for God walking with us. Our reward is not letting life just go by but enjoying the rewards of our labor. With our life focused on Him, He will guide us through the tough times and we will thank Him for being there with us. God will take who we are and fill us with the love we need. With God the rewards start the moment we awake as we thank Him for the restful sleep and good health we have. Then as God moves through our day, we give thanks to Him for the many blessings that bring peace to us.

Matthew chapter 6 verses 31-33.
"So don't worry about having enough food and clothing. Your heavenly Father already knows perfectly well that you need them, and He will give them to you if you give Him first place in your life and live as he wants you to."

Psalm chapter 34 verse 9 and 10.
If you belong to the Lord, reverence Him, for everyone who does this has everything he needs. Even strong young lions sometimes go hungry but those of us who reverence the Lord will never lack any good thing."
