John chapter 14 verse 2 and 3
Jesus is speaking. "There are many homes up there where my Father lives and I am going to prepare them for your coming. When everything is ready, then I will come and get you, so that you can always be with me where I am."

We all have a place where we grew up and were taught the ways of the world. For example, we were taught that need a job to get money so that we can purchase food, clothing and provide shelter. There are those who do struggle with finances and reach out to others for help. Life can be very stressful as we learn how to find work and become a member of society. It is others who help us find our way and encourage us as we face our challenges. Getting older happens and as we do we become aware that we are individuals who have our own attitudes, wishes and dreams. So we set out on our own to start a life where we become self sufficient, encouraged by those who love us. We will never forget those who helped us and the place where we grew up.
When Jesus returned to the hometown of His youth, He was welcomed by everyone who knew Him as Mary and Joseph's boy. Problems arose when Jesus started talking about God as His Father. In John chapter 6 verses 32 and 33 Jesus said, "Moses didn't give them the bread, My Father did. Now He offers you the true bread from heaven. The true bread is a Person--- the One sent by God from heaven and gives life to the world." People had a hard time understanding the things He said for they had seen Him as a baby with Mary and Joseph.
The bible teaches us of whom Jesus is and the love God has for all people. God knows that life can be stressful causing us to look for relief in all the wrong ways of living. It was like when Jesus had spoken about Moses and how the people had forgotten who had provided their needs for survival. Jesus asks us to trust in God to provide for our lives. So where do you want home to be? We can put a roof over our heads and keep our lives under it but a home is made with love. It is where we get to share in the lives of those we care about. God wants us to know that we all belong to His family and when we do, our care and focus becomes not only for Him but also for other people. In His family, we get to give all of our issues over to Him and trust in Him to guide us with love. It was a big step for me to give up my trust in myself but after many failures I thought, Jesus is telling me of a life with God. He promises to keep me safe and that I can get a joy from loving others. He promises to be with me all the time so that my love and praise are from my focus on Him.
My house is now a home with my wife and family, where God lives with us always.
Happy Canada Day!!😊

John chapter 6 verse 35-37.
Jesus replied, "I am the Bread of Life. No one coming to me will ever be hungry again. Those believing in me will never thirst. But the trouble is, as I have told you before, you have not believed even though you have seen me. But some will come to me--- those the Father has given me--- and I will never, never reject them."

Luke chapter 6 verses 46-49.
Jesus asks "Why do you call me Lord when you won't obey me? But all those who come and listen and obey me are like a man who builds a house on a strong foundation laid upon the underlying rock. When the flood waters rise and break against the house, it stands firm, for it is strongly built.
But those who listen and do not obey are like a man who builds a house without a foundation. When the flood waters sweep down against the house, it crumbles into a heap of ruins."
