Friends.

1 Corinthians chapter 1 verse 9.
"God always does just what He says and He is the one who invited you into this wonderful friendship with His Son."

God is the almighty, all powerful creator of earth and man. He wants man to know this and to know that it is He who wants to keep us safe so that our eyes are focused on Him. However, man has had a hard time believing by faith that God wants us to have a relationship with Him. That is where Jesus comes in. Jesus is God's Son who came to tell us that He is the only way to come to God. Through believing that He is God's Son we too can have a personal relationship with God Himself. Wow, God the Creator of everything wants a relationship with me and I can have that by becoming friends with Jesus. What is even better is that Jesus is waiting for me to call upon Him. Psalm chapter 91 verse 15 and 16 says, "When he calls on Me (Jesus) I will answer, I will be with him in trouble and rescue him and honor him. I will satisfy him with a full life and give him my salvation."
I called upon Him 18 years ago and each day has been amazing having life with Jesus.

There is something about talking to a friend we care for. That person who listens to us and says just the right things. We come away from them feeling refreshed and good about our encounter. Not too many of us have friends like that who we can turn to and chat up a storm with. Someone we can laugh with, joke around with and never really criticize one another. It would be even better if our best friend prayed with us. A true best friend is someone who cares and calls you to see what you are doing. It's not the friend who calls once and then you never hear from them for ages, leaving you to wonder what happened and why do they not call. You call them but they are too busy to get together right now. "Family life" seems to be one of the main reasons people give, followed closely by "not feeling well."  Are our expectations set to high when it comes to our best friend? It seems to be the same story for a lot of people, when we are young our best friend gets involved in other interests and as we grow older we grow apart from one another. A spouse can be your best friend but it is nice to have someone you can call up and go for a coffee with. Maybe your families get together often and share meals, play a game or laugh and chat together. Good friends who care can be hard to come by but once found they can help us with our ups and downs, all because they care.
The bible tells us that Jesus spoke with God all the time and all because He values and trusts God. Jesus took the time needed to seek God and His love. Can you imagine, God the creator of all things wanting to spend time with people? Well, He wants you to know His Son and come to Him through Jesus. It is like having Jesus as your best friend and He brings you home to meet God and you become part of their family. God not only listens and cares for you leaving you feeling refreshed and loved but He also blesses you with wisdom and promises of never leaving us alone. Jesus introduces us to God as His personal friend and God fills us with His love and blessings. As you see how God touches your life you will want to share Him with everyone you meet, wanting others to know what God offers to all. He will provide you with the right words to speak that will bring glory and honor to Him as you share who Jesus is.
Thank-you Father for your Son and my best friend.😊

Psalms chapter 139 verses 17 and 18.
"How precious it is Lord, to realize that you are thinking of me constantly! I can't even count how many times a day your thoughts turn towards me. and when I awaken in the morning, you are still thinking of me."

Galatians chapter 5 verses 13- 15.
"For, dear brothers, you have been given freedom, not freedom to do wrong but freedom to love and to serve each other. For the whole Law can be summed up in this one command; "Love others as you love yourself." But if instead of showing love among yourselves you are always critical and catty, watch out! Beware of ruining each other."

1 Corinthians chapter 1 verse 30
"For it is from God alone that you have your life through Christ Jesus. He showed us God's plan of salvation, He is the one who made us acceptable to God, He made us pure and Holy and gave Himself to purchase our salvation."
