Little Things

Romans chapter 12 verse 2.
"Do not copy the behavior and customs of this world, but be a new and different person with a fresh newness in all you do and think. Then you will learn from your own experience how His ways will really satisfy you."

It is the little things we do that make a difference! How we spend our time impacts who we are and what we have. What we do also affects others. Are we on time or always late? Are we lazy or full of energy? Are we content or restless? There are many reasons that affect who we are and the world is constantly influencing us everyday. The things we hear and see, affect our emotions, which in turn affects how we react to our day. What is your focus? Is it to just get by or is it to get rich and show off the stuff you have? I think everyone enjoys a good nights sleep waking up refreshed. A good sleep comes from being at peace with who we are. Worries and anxieties prevent peace and causes unrest which then affects our health making us defensive. Money and worrying about tomorrow's provisions are among the top influences. Love affects everything we think and speak, it can bring either joy or sadness.
Lets talk about how God fits into our lives. Everything just mentioned fills our days making no room for God to be there. God wants to be there and He wants to be the focus of our lives. If God is powerful enough to create all that we see, including the miracle of our bodies, than why do we not put Him in charge of our lives too? Why do we block out His wishes and deal with our issues on our own? There is no answer to why people choose to do the things they do. What God has done is offered us a better way to live when He sent Jesus to teach us. It is up to us to set aside all of what we deal with and trust God to hold true to His promises. Jesus teaches us that God wants us to trust and rely upon Him. God wants us to talk to Him about our worries and anxieties and to watch as He gives us the strength to face them with Him. You will be amazed, as the outcome brings peace to your life. What will happen is you will trust God to be there when the world tempts you, when hurtful words are spoken or sadness brings you down. Your confidence in God will grow as you face life with the joy of His presence with you. Ya gotta love the fact of God wanting us to enjoy a life of peace, where we are not alone, but get to experience the beauty of everything He has created.
All praise and thanks be to God our Father and to Jesus our savior.

Matthew chapter 6 verses 19-23.
"Don't store up treasures here on earth where they can erode away or may be stolen. Store them in heaven where they will never lose their value and are safe from thieves. If your profits are in heaven your heart will be there too. If your eye is pure, there will be sunshine in your soul. But if your eye is clouded with evil thoughts and desires, you are in deep spiritual darkness and oh, how deep that darkness can be!"

Matthew chapter 7 verses 7 and 8
"Ask and you will be given what you ask for. Seek and you will find. Knock and the door will be opened. For everyone who asks, receives. Anyone who seeks, finds. If only you will knock, the door will open."
