Finding Peace.

Philippians chapter 4 verse 6 and 7.
"Don't worry about anything, instead pray about everything, tell God your needs and don't forget to thank Him for His answers. If you do this you will experience God's peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. His peace will keep your thoughts and your hearts quiet and at rest as you trust in Christ Jesus."

Where do you find peace? Everyone of us are our own person's with our own ways of living. We find peace in many different ways for example some find it in being busy and seeing the outcome of their hard work. Some find it in helping others and some find it in relaxing doing what they enjoy. We all share the same basic needs that our bodies require. We need food and water to maintain our health and we need sleep so that we are not overcome with exhaustion. Feeding ourselves requires effort and in order to get the food and stuff we want we need to go somewhere to earn it. Whether we work at a job or not we can be very hard to satisfy with what brings us peace. The influences of everything that goes on around us determines how we feel. Being rushed, harsh words spoken or stepping out into a warm sunny day with everything just coming perfectly together. We also have to interact with each other which causes us to deal with each situation as it comes along. So besides the attitudes and emotions of daily living we have to continue on in someway that we can make sense of who we are and what we have. Venting our days events to others who will listen helps bring some relief, but the next day we face new issues.
God knows the struggles we have and He sent Jesus to help us know a way of living that can peace through joy and love. I was very unsettled and felt overwhelmed with never being satisfied. Hiding away only made situations worse and so each day I would put on a good face, thinking I was fooling everyone with who I was and yet still knowing inside that I was just going through the motions of living. God's offer sounded good to me and I am so happy that I took the steps towards Him. I have found happiness in knowing Jesus and that God is with me. I still deal with each day as it comes, but now I deal with them, with God at my side.
So start your day with God's direction and look to Him as you walk through your day, His blessings will bring peace and a joy to your life. You will smile as you thank God for His son Jesus and the changes that have come to you. Peace is not having to face life alone, knowing God is with you.

Ephesians chapter 5 verses 1 and 2.
"Follow God's example in everything you do just as a much loved child imitates his father. Be full of love for others, following the example of Christ who loved you and gave Himself to God as a sacrifice to take away your sins. And God was pleased, for Christ's love for you was like sweet perfume to Him."

Psalm chapter 90 verse 12.
"Teach us to number our days and recognize how few they are, help us to spend them as we should."
