Conversation
1) A dry crust eaten in peace is better than steak everyday along with argument and strife.
9) Love forgets mistakes, nagging about them parts the best of friends.
14) It is hard to stop a quarrel once it starts, so don't let it begin.
Everyday we encounter attitudes and know it all's. I love it because it gives us something to talk about. Gossip is wonderful, that's how we find out what is going on in the lives of others. The simplest of things spoken about can give us opinions of either good or bad. Some people laugh at what is being said and then move on to the next conversation, others like to hold on to what they have heard and spread the news around like they have something that others are interested in. We are all guilty of having conversation and we will never be free from talking about others or having opinions. Besides it is the stories of others that we learn from, that help shape our own life and make us into who we are. Jesus communicated with everyone, no matter who they were and He always kept His focus on God. From as far back as I can remember I have listened to the opinions of others and have formed my own judgement from what I have heard. I even have twisted up what I have heard to make it more exciting when repeated, I like graphics and adding a little drama, who is going to hurt?
God forgave me and picked me up out of the mess I had made of my life, I am so thankful to Him and I hold close to His word and the life of Jesus. It was through God's offer of a better life that has changed how I see people, how I feel about people and how I care about what gets spoken. I have learned that I can be a participant in gossiping or that I can stop myself and choose what is good to hear verses useless hurtful comments.
"For we all sin and fall short of the glory of God and are justified freely by His grace through the redemption of His Son Jesus."(Romans chapter 3 verse 23 and 24)
Life goes on around me and now as a follower of Jesus, I have learned to get along and not to hurt people but to love them. I can say something nice, I can listen to what is being talked about and I can bring Jesus into the conversation when the opportunity arises. I am so happy to be walking with God and to have Jesus in my life. There are always going to be words spoken, I like the ones that represent Jesus.
Jeremiah chapter 33 verse 3. "Ask and I shall tell you some amazing stories of things that are about to happen here."
Our lives are busy as it is and it is not going to go away or change. Take the time needed to put God into your life and then take Him with you everywhere you go. Your life will be more pleasant knowing He is there to help you.
