Trusting

In Genesis 6 we read about Noah. He was requested by God to build a ship. God stated to him that He was going to destroy all mankind with a great flood because the world had become so corrupt that it was no longer worth saving. He told Noah that because of His faith in Him, He was going to spare His family.
Wow, what would you do at such a request? Noah trusted God and built the ship at the ridicule of all the world. God kept His promise and Noah along with his family were spared from the great flood.

I have heard of others who say God spoke to them and made a request to them that would affect their life drastically. They made the changes only to find God with them every step of the way and how their faith was affecting others around them. I have heard people speak in "tongues" and they tell me it is a gift from God to speak in a language other than our own. (Acts chapter 2) I have never spoken in tongues but that does not change my love for God and His blessings upon my life, if it is His will then He will provide the means. It is by faith in God that through Jesus we are filled with God's Holy Spirit. Trusting in God is stepping outside of the comfortable lives we have and into a life filled with promises, that God the creator of all things and mankind will walk with us forever. The bible is filled with stories of people who walked in faith and had their lives changed forever. Jesus has shown us the healing power of God and teaches the love of God to all people who follow after Him. It is the joy of our love for God that He wants from us. As our lives are changed because of our stepping out in trust of His promises, that we tell everyone of the affects He can have on people.
Yes, God requests us to step into the unknown and to follow Him trusting Him to guide us and keep us safe. Jesus in the garden of Gethsemane prayed to God for the agony He was feeling, and in trust accepted His fate. He said "Thy will be done"
Enjoy your journey and take the steps forward trusting God to walk with you and giving Him all the praise he deserves.

Thank-you Father.😊
