Let Christ
Romans chapter 14 verses 17 and 18.
For, after all, the important thing for us as Christians is not what we eat or drink but stirring up goodness and peace and joy from the Holy Spirit. If you let Christ be Lord in these affairs, God will be glad; and so will others.
We all have a choice in how we are going to live.
You can follow your own instincts, hoping that you are wise in your decisions. You can hope that your past experiences guide you to success. You can ready books and be taught. You can use A.I. or ask questions from others hoping for some sort of guidance. You can seek peace and solace in creativity, or the divine words of a good speaker. The bottom line is, we have the choice on how we live.
No one can tell you how to do the things you do. They cannot tell you how you feel. They cannot force you to live in a way that you do not agree with. You have to be content and at peace with the decisions you make. If you are not then there will be doubt and unrest.
It is pretty safe to say that worry and anxieties do exist and are a common part of our daily living. Most of that comes from trying to live up to expectations. Either the expectations we put on ourselves or trying to live up to the expectations of others.
A great way to clear our minds is by using drugs or alcohol. Some of us use exercise, or eating to calm our thoughts. The problem is, the concerns and attitudes do not stop coming. You may get over one, but another will be along soon. So how are we to be at peace with a life that is filled with challenges?
In Psalms chapter 30 King David is so thrilled that God has saved him from his enemies. his enemies could have been addictions, or the attitudes of blame, or even huge mistakes he made. The enemies he faced were heavy upon his thoughts. He pleaded with God about his health and God restored his health. He is filled with thanksgiving and songs of praise.
Verse 5 says, "His anger lasts a moment; His favor lasts for life! Weeping may go on all night, but in the morning there is joy."
All was going so well with King David that his pride made him think he was invincible. "Nothing can stop me now! The Lord has shown me His favor. He has made me steady as a mountain." This attitude made him blind to the praise and worship God deserves for watching over us daily. He says God turned His back on him and he felt terrified and panicstricken. He pleaded with God to return His favor. He knew that all goodness in his life came from God. He wanted to praise God to his friends. God heard his prayers and turned his sorrow into joy.
Verse 12 says, "O Lord my God, I will keep on thanking You forever!
The challenges we face daily need to be faced with God. There is no doubt that on our own we have no one to be thankful to, but with God we can see clearly that it is He who is watching over us and in our achievements, in our times of heartache, He is the one who shows us His hand upon us.
In John chapter 17, Jesus is speaking to God saying, "I have told these men all about You. They were in the world, but then You gave them to Me. Actually, they were always Yours, and You gave them to Me; and they have obeyed You. Now they know that everything I have is a gift from You, for I have passed on to them the commands You gave Me; and they accepted them and know for a certainty that I came down to earth from You, and they believe You sent Me."
I prayed to God and God sent Jesus. I know it was Him and is Him who is with me now because He put out His hand and lifted me up. And in doing so I was lifted out of the world as I knew it and into the life I now have with God. I am so thankful to walk with Him daily. To know He is with me. I would like to tell you about my experiences and the peace He has brought to me, but the only way you will know is by your own stories. The stories that you will share with others.
I say let Christ bring you before God and watch as God welcomes you into life with Him.
Thank You Father for Jesus. Thank You for what You did when You heard my call to You. 😊
Romans chapter 8 verses 16 and 17.
For His Holy Spirit speaks to us deep in our hearts, and tells us that we really are God's children. And since we are His children, we will share His treasures---for all God gives to His Son Jesus is now ours too. But if we are to share His glory, we must also share His suffering.
Matthew chapter 6 verse 33.
Jesus said to them, "And He will give them to you if you give Him first place in your life and live as He wants you to."
Daniel chapter 6 verse 20.
He called out in anguish, "O Daniel, servant of the Living God, was your God, whom you worship continually, able to deliver you from the lions?"
