The Narrow Road.

Follow where you think is right. Or let Jesus come and love upon you.

Matthew chapter 7 verses 13 and 14.
Jesus said to him, "Heaven can be entered only through a narrow gate! The highway to hell is broad and it's gate is wide enough for all the multitudes who choose its way. But the Gateway to Life is small, and the road is narrow, and only few ever find it.

Life without God is just that, without God.
You are on your own to figure out the right decisions to make. You are the one who has to deal with the consequences. Are you stubborn and frustrated?
You live in a world filled with people. Why can't it be an easy go? Why do you have to suffer, when there is so much fun to be had? It is hard to be satisfied when there is so much going on around you. Do you work hard to take care of what you have? Does the stuff you own break down and wear out? How are your relationships with others? Do you get along? You like it when things are going your way but when they are not, others around you know it and can sense your uneasiness.
Do you have a family? Do you stay in touch with your brothers and sisters? Do you see your mom and dad? Do you try your best to be a good parent? Maybe you prefer being on your own. Maybe you think that by letting others into your life you will be opening a box full of troubles, worries and concerns.
God gave us Jesus as our way to find a life with Him. A life filled with gratitude and love. A life where you trust in Him to guide you and provide all your needs. Do you trust in someone? Do you know love? Satisfaction is earned and once you trust in it then there is no turning from where you want to be and what you believe in.
I remember coming to God. He took me in and without any doubt He is the one who I love and trust in. All around me are temptations and even my own desires. But when I think about the short term enjoyment I might receive from following my own ways, it reminds me of where I was before God took me in and where I am now with God standing beside me.
In the Matthew chapter 7, Jesus is telling us about how easy it is to follow our own paths, but how hard it is to follow the path God wants us to walk upon with Christ. A life with Christ has started out from the world that grips us with emptiness, sadness and confusion. Christ has come because God has heard your prayers and He has given you His hand of love and compassion. And now that road that was so wide and easily followed has become the road on which you walk with Christ. In fact it becomes the only road on which you walk.
Jesus made sense when He made the statement saying, "Heaven can be entered only through a narrow gate!"
It is so easy to enjoy ourselves with abundance. Relationships have to be worked at and hopefully develop into the place where you are satisfied. Tough times do come and confusion can happen. There is a friend that will never leave or misguide you.
Proverbs chapter 18 says, "There are friends who pretend to be friends, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother."
God has given you Jesus and His love is God's arms wrapped around you forever. God's love is in Christ and it is Christ who comes and brings you into life with God. No longer following your own direction, you are focused on following Christ.
Thank You Father for Jesus. Thank You for the narrow road which leads to You and God. 😊

Galatians chapter 2 verse 20.
"I have been crucified with Christ: and I myself no longer live, but Christ lives in me. And the real life I now have within this body is a result of my trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and have Himself for me."

John chapter 10 verses 1-10.
Jesus said to them, "Anyone refusing to walk through the gate into a sheepfold, who sneaks over the wall, must surely be a thief! For a shepherd comes through the gate. The gatekeeper opens the gate for him, and the sheep hear his voice and come to him; and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. He walks ahead of them; and they follow him, for they recognize his voice, They will not follow a stranger, but will run from him, for they do not recognize his voice."
Those who heard Jesus use this illustration did not understand what He meant, so He explained it to them. "I am the Gate for the sheep," He said. "All others who came before Me were thieves and robbers. But the true sheep did not listen to them. Yes, I am the Gate. Those who come in by way of the Gate will be saved and will go in and out and find green pastures. The thief's purpose is to steal, kill and destroy. My purpose is to give life in all its fullness."

Galatians chapter 3 verse 28.
We are no longer Jews, or Greeks, or slaves, or free men, or even merely men or women, but we are all the same---we are Christians; we are one in Christ Jesus.
