Forgiveness
You never know who will become a friend and love you for who you are. Thank you Jesus.
Matthew chapter 18 verses 19-22.
Jesus said, "I tell you this---if two of you agree down here on earth concerning anything you ask for, My Father in heaven will do it for you. For where two or three gather together because they are Mine, I will be right there among them." Then Peter came to Him and asked, "Sir, how often should I forgive a brother who sins against me? Seven times?" "No!" Jesus replied, "Seventy times seven!"
Anger and frustration can lead to confusion and hateful words being spoken.
In Luke chapter 23 verse 34 Jesus said "Father, forgive these people, for they do not know what they are doing." Jesus had every right to be angry and upset, but instead He choose to forgive.
Forgiveness is not easy when you are feeling attacked. But forgiveness is the greatest love in which you could give to someone. God has forgiven you for ignoring Him and leading your life the way you want to. Even though you continue to put yourself into financial debt or have troubles getting along with others, God is always there. We make stupid mistakes because we have this need to control.
Hebrews chapter 13 says, "Honor your marriage and it's vows, and be pure; for God will surely punish all those who are immoral or commit adultery. Stay away from the love of money; be satisfied with what you have. For God has said, I will never, never fail you nor forsake you. That is why we can say without any doubt or fear; The Lord is my Helper and I am not afraid of anything that mere man can do to me."
We are to be responsible, common sense people who obey and trust God for everything. To do this we need to work hard at holding our faith together. By putting God first in your day, by talking to Him throughout your day and then by thanking Him for your day. It is ok to ask Him for a good nights sleep, for He is the one renews and heals so that you awaken refreshed, and ready to willingly help others come to know Him. It is only through Him and with Him that you will be ready to face whatever temptations, desires or troubles come your way.
He is our help in times of need. He is the joy we reflect. Before you came to God and began your life with Jesus, you lived as you thought was right. You came because of His love. You came seeking, curious and He opened the door. He listened and you found His love for you.
Revelations chapter 3 verse 20 says; "Look! I have been standing at the door and I am constantly knocking. If anyone hears Me calling him and opens the door, I will come in and fellowship with him and he with Me."
You felt this need to look His way and you found Him there waiting for you. He has changed your life.
Colossians chapter 1 verses 13 and 14 say, "For He rescued us out of the darkness and gloom of Satan's kingdom and brought us into the kingdom of His dear Son, who bought our freedom with His blood and forgave us all our sins."
First you need to realize there is a hold upon your life and that through Jesus there is a life with God. He has the power to forgive and heal and lead you into a life free from whatever has a hold upon you. By setting you free, your joy will overflow with gratitude. You won't believe what has happened.
In John chapter 20 we read about Thomas, who was one of the disciples, and he had doubts about what the others had experienced. Jesus said to him, "Put your finger into My hands. Put your hand into My side. Do not be faithless any longer, Believe!" Then Thomas said, "My Lord and my God!" Then Jesus told him, "You believe because you have seen Me. But blessed are those who have not seen Me and believe any way."
It is only by faith that we can be alive with God. Living as Jesus did and filled with the Holy Spirit. Forgiveness is an amazing thing, it works, if you give it out and it works when you receive it.
In Matthew chapter 6 verses 14 and 15 Jesus says, "Your heavenly Father will forgive you if you forgive those who sin against you; but if you refuse to forgive them, He will not forgive you."
It is hard to gather yourself together in the midst of busyness or irritability, but those are the times when we are weakest and need to call upon Jesus. What good does it do to continually add to the pot when you do not need to add any more? In God's eyes you are where you need to be, you do not have to think more is needed when all you do is have to bring yourself before Him.
God can only work through you if you believe that He is with you. That is why it is important to believe He is with you always. That is not hard to do when you see the things He does for you. From the smallest word or gesture to the all out labor of helping others, our joy is seen in our thankfulness of Him being with us.
Isaiah chapter 61 verse 10 say's, "Let me tell you how happy God has made me! For He has clothed me with garments of salvation and draped about me the robe of righteousness. I am like a bridegroom in his wedding suit or a bride with her jewels."
Our peace and joy is found in life with God living in His pastures with Jesus as our shepherd.
Thank You Father for Jesus. Forgiveness starts with forgiving ourselves. Let Jesus show you God's amazing love for you, in the world He has given you to enjoy. 😊
1 John chapter 3 verses 4-6.
But those who keep on sinning are against God, for every sin is done against the will of God. And you know that He became a man so that He could take away our sins, and that there is no sin in Him, no missing of God's will at any time in any way. So if we stay close to Him, obedient to Him, we won't be sinning either; but as for those who keep on sinning, they should realize this: They sin because they have never really known Him or become His.
Psalms chapter 33 verses 13-15.
The Lord gazes down upon mankind from heaven where He lives. He has made their hearts and closely watches everything they do.
Isaiah chapter 41 verse 13.
"I am holding you by your right hand---I, the Lord your God---and I say to you, Do not be afraid; I am here to help you."
