Getting even.

Jesus has brought you here and now you humbly love others, the way God loves you.

1 Samuel chapter 24 verses 15 and 16.
David said to King Saul, "May the Lord judge as to which of us is right and punish whichever one of us is guilty. He is my lawyer and defender, and He will rescue me from your power!"

You don't like it when others do something that you don't agree with. Maybe there were words spoken that hurt you. Maybe you missed out on something that you felt should have been yours. Maybe while driving, someone cut you off or maybe you observed some deliberate action that rubbed you the wrong way.
There are many things that can interrupt our peace. Maybe it's you and the restless sleep you had that is causing you to be edgy and easily offended. Whatever the reasons you are snappy with people and maybe you speak some words that are offensive. And maybe others don't like your attitude and snap back at you. And of coarse that only makes things worse.
So how do you deal with being uncomfortable? If this continues then it's only going to build to the point of argument and grief. It's not your fault and what reason would you have for giving forgiveness or even think of apologizing? Getting even can happen right away or be something that is planned out. In most cases you don't have a very high regard for those who offended you.
The guy who cut you off may get a verbal blasting that he probably didn't even hear. Maybe he saw your gestures, only to return what you gave him. In Matthew chapter 10 verse 10 Jesus says, "The thief's purpose is to steal, kill and destroy. My purpose is to give life in all it's fullness." Having peace is hard to hold onto when stuff happens and we find ourselves restless.
The things Jesus talks about seem to wonderful to be true, but where, other than from Jesus, are you being offered a chance to live life to it's fullness? Go ahead, continue to seek after those other ways, that you think, will give you that well deserved restful, peace filled life. You may even be someone who just does not care and deals with each situation as best they can, hoping to get through without too much turmoil, stress or added baggage.
In Matthew chapter 11 Jesus says, "Everything has been entrusted to Me by My Father. Only the Father knows the Son, and the Father is known only by the Son, and by those to whom the Son reveals Him. Come to me and I will give you rest---all of you who work so hard beneath a heavy yoke. Wear My yoke---for it fits perfectly---and let Me teach you; for I am gentle and humble, and you shall find rest for your souls; for I give you only light burdens."
The only way you will know is if you try it out for yourself. That means you will have to talk to Him and that means believing that He is hearing you. It is by faith that we believe God is real and it is by His touch upon our lives that He gains our trust. As if you don't already have enough issues to deal with, now you are expected to believe that an unseen God can help you with your troubles. If He doesn't come through for you, than how will you ever get even with that? It just adds to being bitter.
Coming to Him is your choice, even though He might have been the one who put the idea in your thoughts. God is not a mystery or a myth. The reason you know about Him is because you have heard about Him. The stories you have heard must have sparked your curiosity and now your circumstances have brought you to try talking to Him. You will not be disappointed, let down or left out.
It is through your peace of mind and the joy you feel for His help that He wins over your trust. And that leads to every moment of everyday knowing that He is there with you and for you. That changes how you look, and how you react to trials, temptations and desires. What has happened to you will become the story you have to tell.
There will no longer be any need for getting even. When confronted or challenged you will be surprised and left in awe at your reaction. Your words will be encouraging and helpful. You will quickly turn your back on anger and reflect your love with God.
Thank You Father for Jesus. Thank You for the words and thoughts that You place in us. Leaving us in awe of You. 😊

Psalms chapter 40 verses 1-4.
I waited patiently for God to help me; then He listened and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the pit of despair, out from the bog and the mire, and set my feet on a hard, firm path and steadied me as I walked along. He has given me a new song to sing, of praises to our God. Now many will hear the glorious things He did for me, and stand in awe before the Lord, and put their trust in Him. Many blessings are given to those who trust the Lord, and have no confidence in those who are proud, or who trust in idols.

Psalms chapter 139 verses 4-7.
You know what I am going to say before I even say it. You both precede me, and place Your hand of blessing on my head. This is too glorious, too wonderful to believe! I can never be lost to Your Spirit! I can never get away from my God!

John chapter 21 verses 12-14.
"Now come and have some breakfast!" Jesus said; and none of us dared ask Him if He really was the Lord, for we were quite sure of it. Then Jesus went around serving us the bread and fish. This was the third time Jesus had appeared to us since His return from the dead.

Psalms chapter 50 verse 7.
"O My people, listen! For I am your God. Listen!"

Psalms chapter 50 verses 13-15.
"No, I don't need your sacrifices of flesh and blood. What I want from you is your true thanks; I want your promises fulfilled. I want you to trust Me in your times of trouble, so I can rescue you, and you can give Me glory."
