Saving Grace.

Happiness is the love of God in you. Jesus is your Savior and the Holy Spirit is your joy.

1 Kings chapter 19 verses 4 and 5.
Then he went on alone into the wilderness, traveling all day, and sat down under a broom bush and prayed that he might die. "I've had enough," he told the Lord. "Take away my life. I've got to die sometime, and it might as well be now." Then he lay down and slept beneath the broom bush. But as he was sleeping, an angel touched him and told him to get up and eat!

What was your first encounter with God like? What are all your encounters with God like?
When you first experienced the touch of God upon your life, it must have been an eye opening experience. Something you were totally not expecting.
In Mark chapter 1, the apostle Mark starts off by stating that "Here begins the wonderful story of Jesus the Messiah, the Son of God."
Is your life so great that you do not need to know about God or even want to pay any attention to Him? There are many reasons for people to believe that they are the ones in control and that they have it all together. Everyday we encounter challenges that require decisions to be made. Most of them come and go quickly. You may have had one of your emotions stirred and that may become a story for others to hear.
Maybe the story of Christ is something you have heard about but since you do not require His help, you put Him in the back of your thoughts and continue on with your daily life as you see fit. There are things that can happen that can cause emotional stress, and confusion.
Relationships and peace of mind are right up there along side income and ownership. The Bible and the beliefs of God being the creator have been around for longer than you have been alive. So why would God put any thought into who you are and have concern for your troubles?
Psalms chapter 145 says, "The Lord lifts the fallen and those bent beneath their loads. He is close to all who call on Him sincerely."
So everything has been good up until now. Your confusion and anger is playing havoc on your peace. This time the thoughts are not quickly overcome. Your frustrated because no one is there for you. You can't seem to find the answer you need. Even by forcing yourself to believe something that is made up, you are still restless. Maybe God will hear your prayer, your cry of distress.
Nehemiah was a person troubled by the loss of his homeland. Destroyed by war and forced to live in strange lands, he said a quick prayer to the God of Heaven.
Nehemiah chapter 2 verse 8 says, "And the king granted these requests, for God was being gracious to me."
It will be your prayer that will be heard and God will answer you leaving you thankful.
John chapter 20 verses 29-31 say,  "Then Jesus told him, 'You believe because you have seen Me. But blessed are those who have not seen Me and believe anyway.' Jesus disciples saw Him do many miracles besides the ones told about in this book, but they are recorded so that you will believe that He is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing in Him You will have life."
You struggle with emotions and confusion. God has given all of us the gift of Christ and through a simple prayer, He will come into your life and comfort you with everlasting peace. He will always be with you and will be there to protect you and guide you every moment of every day.
Thank You Father for Jesus. Thank You for revealing the truth to to those who seek after You. 😊

2 Timothy chapter 2 verse 25.
Be humble when you are trying to teach those who are mixed up concerning the truth. For if you talk meekly and courteously to them they are more likely, with God's help, to turn away from their wrong ideas and believe what is true.

Deuteronomy chapter 5 verse 24.
Today the Lord our God has shown us His great glory and greatness; we have even heard His voice from the heart of the fire. Now we know that a man may speak to God and not die.

Deuteronomy chapter 5 verses 32 and 33.
So Moses told the people, "You must obey all the commandments of the Lord your God, following His directions in every detail, going the whole way He has laid out for you; only then will you live long and prosperous lives in the land you are to enter and possess."

Philippians chapter 2 verses 12 and 13.
You must be even more careful to do the good things that result from being saved, obeying God with deep reverence, shrinking back from all that might displease Him. For God is at work within you, helping you want to obey Him , and then helping you do what He wants.
