Fit

Our happiness is in enjoying our lives to the fullest. Smile because God has given us Christ.

Colossians chapter 3 verse 12.
Always thankful to the Father who has made us fit to share all the wonderful things that belong to those who live in the kingdom of light.

What does it mean to be fit?
Does it mean to fit in with people or circumstances? Or is it to be an example of healthy living?
Colossians chapter 3 says, "For God has rescued us out of the darkness and gloom of Satan's kingdom and brought us into the kingdom of His dear Son, who bought our freedom with His blood and forgave us all our sins."
Did you know that you needed rescuing?
You go day to day trying your hardest to fit in and get along without having to many issues to deal with. Love is one of the hardest things to find and to hold onto. Why is love so important? With love all things come together and fit perfectly.
The problem is love is only enjoyed when it is given back to us. If you are the only one who is feeling love than frustration can grip us, leaving us lonely, angry and sad. Everyone likes to be loved and try as hard as you like, you cannot make love happen. It is something that happens on it's own because of growth or circumstances.
Our world has become one big matchmaking business, where money is made from the vulnerability of those wanting love.
Colossians chapter 3 goes on to say, "It is through what His Son did that God cleared a path for everything to come to Him---all things in heaven and on earth---for Christ's death on the cross has made peace with God for all by His blood. This includes you who were once so far away from God."
Peace is the key word for all of us. Love can be frustrating but it also fills the gap of loneliness. So being at peace can only be found when forgiveness and gratitude show us what love can do.
1 Corinthians chapter 13 verses 4 and 5 say, "Love is very patient and kind, never jealous or envious, never boastful or proud, never haughty or selfish or rude. Love does not demand it's own way. It is not irritable or touchy. It does not hold grudges and will hardly even notice when others do it wrong."
Love is a gift from God and one that needs to be guarded closely for temptation and desire are used to keep you from God.
1 Peter chapter 5 verse 8 says, "Be careful---watch out for attacks from Satan, your great enemy. He prowls around like a hungry, roaring lion, looking for some victim to tear apart. Stand firm when he attacks. Trust the Lord; and remember that other Christians all around the world are going through these sufferings too."
To stay fit we need to be disciplined and prepared. Jesus is our teacher and if we follow His direction we will find ourselves close to God, watched over with His love.
James chapter 4 says, "If your aim is to enjoy the evil pleasure of the unsaved world, you cannot also be a friend of God. Or what do you think the Scripture means when it says that the Holy Spirit, whom God has placed within us, watches over us with tender jealousy? But He gives us more and more strength to stand against all such evil longings. As the Scripture says, God gives strength to the humble, but sets Himself against the proud and haughty. So give yourselves humbly to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you."
When you become a Christian, you become filled with the love of God, held closely by Christ and guided by the Holy Spirit. It is crazy the temptations that are all around us. We work hard to have a good life but it is only by the love of God that we can stand up against those things that attack our peace. Put on God's armor. Be prepared with His knowledge and understanding. And trust in Him for everything.
A good healthy life needs discipline and when you have the guidance you need, it is easier to maintain. You may not always understand all the attacks upon your life but God has left you with patience.
Patience in trusting that God's promises are true. And that leaves you content and at peace knowing that God is with you watching over you as you stand out as His.
Thank You Father for Jesus. Thank You for Your love and grace. Wow You are real living. 😊

John chapter 8 verse 12.
Jesus said to the people, "I am the Light of the world. So if you follow Me, you won't be stumbling through the darkness, for living light will flood your path."

Psalms chapter 104 verse 24.
O Lord, what a variety You have made! And in wisdom You have made them all! The earth is full of Your riches.

2 Corinthians chapter 4 verses 7-10.
But this precious treasure---this light and power that now shine within us---is held in a perishable container, that is, in our weak bodies. Everyone can see that the glorious power within must be from God and is not his own. We are pressed on every side by troubles, but not crushed and broken. We are perplexed because we do not know why things happen as they do, but we do not give up and quit. We are hunted down, but God never abandons us. We get knocked down, but we get up again and keep going. These bodies of ours are constantly facing death just as Jesus did; so it is clear to all that it is only the living Christ within who keeps us safe.
