Burned

God's love for you is Christ our Savior. You deserve a good life.

Psalms chapter 121.
Shall I look to the mountain gods for help? No! My help is from Jehovah who made the mountains! And the heavens too! He will never let me stumble, slip or fall. For He is always watching, never sleeping. Jehovah Himself is caring for you! He is your defender. He protects you day and night. He keeps you from all evil, and preserves your life. He keeps His eye upon you as you come and go, and always guards you.

Do you feel like you are being mistreated? You have been honest and truthful, yet you feel like you are being taken advantage of. It could be that promotion you have worked so hard to get or maybe your bills do not stop climbing leaving you wondering what the heck is going on. Maybe someone close to you has made accusations against you that you know are not true.
There is nothing worse than trying to defend yourself when others will not listen. You search for the right words, you don't like raising your voice, and your actions show your frustration. You do not like feeling this way, but what are you supposed to do?
Numbers chapter 22 verses 28-34 says, Then the Lord caused the donkey to speak! "What have I done that deserves your beating me these three times?" she asked. "Because you have made me look like a fool! Balaam shouted. "I wish I had a sword with me, for I would kill you."
"Have I ever done anything like this before in my entire life?" the donkey asked. "No," he admitted. Then the Lord opened Balaam's eyes and he saw the angel standing in the roadway with drawn sword, and he fell flat on the ground before him. "Why did you beat your donkey those three times?" the angel demanded. "I have come to stop you because you are headed for destruction. Three times the donkey saw me and shied away from me; otherwise I would have certainly have killed you by now, and spared her. Then Balaam confessed, "I have sinned. I did not realize you were there. I will go back home if you do not want me to go on."
The story of Balaam shows that maybe God is preventing us from a devastating blow.  It also shows us that short bursts of rage do no one any good. Temper tantrums are out of control emotions, that blurt out and do things that leave us wondering, shameful and sometime embarrassed. Damage control is needed.
Lamentations chapter 3 verses 21-23 says; "Yet there is one ray of hope: His compassion never ends. It is only the Lord's mercies that have kept us from complete destruction. Great is His faithfulness; His loving kindness begins afresh each day."
And His lovingkindness is needed each and everyday, throughout the day, through the night and ready to start fresh the next day. God is our place of refuge and strength.
I like what Jesus said John chapter 15 verse 4. He said, "Take care to live in Me, and let Me live in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit when severed from the vine. Nor can you be fruitful apart from Me." God makes His home in anyone who seeks after Him.
Ephesians chapter 4 verses 23 and 24 say; "Now your attitudes and thoughts must all be constantly changing for the better. Yes, you must be a new and different person, holy and good. Clothe yourself with this new nature."
At first, this change may not be easy to do because we are being asked to follow a set plan and to hold true to that plan. The rough part is the battle between wanting change. Our own thoughts and emotions are trying to keep us in what we know and understand.
It's like two different people, the old you who was guided by the way you wanted to live and keeps you thinking that the way you lived was the only choice you had. Or to walk in life with Jesus, trusting in God to guide you and protect you. Talking to Him all the time about every concern you have.
In our old ways we would look for the advice of others thinking that their wisdom would help us. In reality you were only letting off steam and stirring up the mixture brewing inside you. When you come to God first with your issues, He will take your pain and replace it with love. Your thoughts will have the right guidance you need.
Psalms chapter 91 verses 14-16 say; For the Lord says, "Because he loves Me, I will rescue him; I will make him great because he trusts in My name. When he call on Me I will answer; I will be with him in trouble, and rescue him and honor him. I will satisfy him with a full life and give him My salvation." Wow! God has said that about you!
Frustration, anger, disappointment and confusion can easily come upon us at any given time. Thank God for Jesus and His welcoming love.
Thank You Father for Jesus. There is peace and happiness to be had with You. 😊

Ezekiel chapter 11 verses 19 and 20.
God speaking to Ezekiel in a vision said, "I will give you one heart and a new Spirit; I will take from you your hearts of stone and give you tender hearts of love for God, so that you can obey My laws and be My people, and I will be your God."

Psalms chapter 142 verses 1-3.
How I plead with God, how I implore His mercy, pouring out my troubles before Him. For I am overwhelmed and desperate, and You alone know which way I ought to turn to miss the traps my enemies have set for me.

Luke chapter 6 verses 27 and 28.
Jesus said to them, "Listen, all of you. Love your enemies. Do good to those who hate you. Pray for the happiness of those who curse you; implore God's blessing on those who hurt you."
