Time!

What does 'passing time' look like to you? Thank God for Jesus!

Romans chapter 13 verses 12-14.
The night is far gone, the day of His return will soon be here. So quit the evil deeds of darkness and put on the armor of right living, as we who live in the daylight should! Be decent and true in everything you do so that all can approve your behavior. Don't spend your time in wild parties and getting drunk or in adultery and lust, or fighting, or jealousy. But ask the Lord Jesus Christ to help you live as you should, and don't make plans to enjoy evil.

There is so much stuff that can influence the way we live. We don't have to be someone with addictions or anger issues. Our problems come from lack of direction. It makes us uneasy to think that our time here on earth can be so short. And who is there to talk with when our confusion is not understood by others?
You can be a great parent, who loves their children and directs their growth. You can be loving to your spouse and involved in your community. However those things do not stop death, sickness or worldly opinions from happening. Following after Jesus is one way of having the direction you need. You can follow other ways but it is only the promises of God that will protect you as they did Jesus.
The claims of Jesus are the promises of God to give you a life that is everlasting. John chapter 3 verses 16 and 17 say, "For God so loves the world that He gave His only Son so that anyone who believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. God did not send His Son into the world to condemn it, but to save it."
Life without God is empty. You can be a busy person and an involved person but that still leaves you empty. You can't slow time down. Try asking God for His thoughts. How do you get along with God when everyone you know does not think of God at all? Maybe you are hanging with the wrong crowd.
Does that mean you need to let go of all those whom you have grown with and love to be around? Ask yourself what is it that you are lacking in your life? Is it self-control and the ability to overcome? You are capable of doing those things so why is it that you can't seem to come to God without feeling like you are out of place?
Time is running out. If you heard about something that everyone was getting in on and it seems like something you would like to know more about, would you not look into it? What could be better than eternal life? Maybe living in the joy of knowing you have eternal life now and that by being a child of God's now, leaves you aware that you are and will forever be living with Jesus, filled with God's Holy Spirit.
In Hebrews chapter 8 verses 10-12 the Lord says, "I will write My laws in their minds so that they will know what I want them to do without even My telling them, and these laws will be in their hearts so that they will want to obey them, and I will be their God and they shall be My people. And no one then will need to speak to his friend or neighbor or brother, saying, 'You too, should know the Lord,' because everyone, great and small, will know Me already. And I will be merciful to them in their wrongdoings, and I will remember their sins no more."
There is nothing better than life with Jesus. If you think that your life is not so bad, try thinking about having life with someone who has the power to bless you beyond your imagination. Not only does He have the power to bless you but He wants to do it freely with no strings attached.
You may shrug your shoulders with doubt, because you know that God wants your love, leaving you thinking that nothing is free. That is silly thinking and time is not standing still as you tough out each day on your own. I never put any thought into God before because I never looked His way for any reason. It was only when my youthful escapades began to make me weary, worn down by time that I thought how do I change myself?
It was only when I came to Him, seeking His help, that everything changed.  James chapter 1 says, "So get rid of all that is wrong in your life, both inside and outside, and humbly be glad for the wonderful message we have received, for it is able to save our souls as it takes hold of our hearts."
To be humble means to stop being anxious and fidgety. To trust in God takes a leap of faith and that is hard to do when you have no control over what is coming.
No one wants to lose those things that they care about, but God gave His Son so that we can have a choice. Some people may not understand, your addictions will cause you pain and you will forever be aware of the taunting of temptations and desires, (the stuff you know leads you away from seeking after the Lord.) Life with God is an everlasting joy that has you walking with Jesus and filled with praise.
In Daniel chapter 20 we find Daniel being challenged and seeking God for His mercies and wisdom. God showed Daniel what he sought after and that left him filled with praise. Verse 20 says, "Praise the name of the Lord forever and ever for He alone is all wisdom and all power."
Those words of praise are not something that come from people who struggle with their thoughts but from people who know what has happened. They have sought after God and found their answers through Jesus.
You see, the joy we feel and can feel everyday and forever is the gift God has given us through His Son. Is your life based on what you have made it to be? How do you feel when that life you trust in so much is interrupted by circumstances? You fight and get angry. You squirm and become confused. You do not deserve this after all the hard work you put into being who you are and what you have. There is no need to feel this way. Time is precious.
God offers Jesus as a place for you to turn to. He has always been there and He is the creator of all you see and touch. You cannot not physically touch Him but you can have Him touch your life. John chapter 1 verse 10 says, "But although He made the world, the world did not recognize Him when He came."
The only way you will recognize Him is if you look for Him. That is when you find His touch upon your life. You are not meant to live your life without God, for God will bring you the peace you seek through Jesus. And you will forever be filled with His Holy Spirit.
Philippians chapter 4 verses 6 and 7 say, "Do not worry about anything; instead, pray about everything; tell God your needs and don't forget to thank Him for His answers. If you do this you will experience God's peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. His peace will keep your thoughts and your hearts quiet and at rest as you trust in Christ Jesus."
Do not waste any more time on stuff leading you away from God. Walk with Jesus and let God be your focus and your place of safety. You do this by talking to Him and praising Him all day long. You read the bible and find His direction. You listen to the Holy Spirit who God has blessed you with. He will guide you with right thoughts and righteous paths.
Your love for Him will be seen in the way you live, no longer confused but guided by God. Others will enjoy your company and maybe even find their way to seek after God. Only God knows who will come to Jesus and find an everlasting life with Him.
Thank You Father for Jesus. Thank You for pointing us to Jesus. No longer do we live without You but now we are guided by You. 😊

John chapter 3 verses 16 and 17.
For God so loves the world that He gave His only Son so that who ever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life. God did not send Jesus into this world to condemn it but to save it.

Hebrews chapter 7 verses 24 and 25.
But Jesus lives forever and continues to be a Priest so that no one else is needed. He is able to save completely all who come to God through Him. Since He will live forever, He will always be there to remind God that He has paid for our sins with His blood.

Romans chapter 4 verses 23-25.
Now this wonderful statement---that He was accepted and approved through His faith---wasn't just for Abraham's benefit. It was for us, too, assuring us that God will accept us in the same way He accepted Abraham---when we believe the promises of God who brought back Jesus our Lord from the dead. He died for our sins and rose again to make us right with God, filling us with God's promises.
