Resolutions

Romans chapter 8 verse 16.
"For His Holy Spirit speaks to us deep in our hearts, and tells us that we really are God's children."

How is your new years resolution coming? Are you achieving what you set as a goal to do or have you faltered? What did you find out? Was it too much of a challenge to take on or did you really not have your heart set on reaching that goal in the first place?
Your intentions may have been good, but circumstances got in the way. One of the biggest goals people set is to exercise and lose weight. The problem with that is commitment. Some people lose a few pounds by working hard and then dealing with the aches and pains, they give up only to gain back what they lost.
Life style change is hard work and requires our full attention and the want to achieve. Heartache is caused by failure and can bring disappointment along with it. Sometimes our expectations are set so high that we can't see the bigger picture for our own self gain is blocking our way.
Hope is very powerful and can set us on the path where we need to be, but it is our own want to be there that is going to keep us moving forward. You know that is true because there are things you wanted in the past and no matter what stood in your way, you fought through to get it. Time and patience may have been needed, but your mind was set on achieving what you wanted so bad, that it did not matter how long it was going to take. It is what you wanted and you would do what it took to get what you wanted!
I hope that whatever that need was that it was worth all the effort you put into getting it and once you got it, you cherished it close to your heart and did not put it on the shelf with all the other really important needs that you wanted so bad to get.
Promises get broken and some wounds can easily be overcome. For each day does not stop coming and we have to face those days the best we can.
Jesus tells the truth and has never faltered from leading you in the right direction. God never breaks His promise to be with you. If you ever feel that you have been betrayed by God, think again, it really is you who have made the mistake.
God wants nothing but the best for you and He showed it by making Jesus the final sacrifice. And for those who believe that Jesus is God's Son and that He has made the way clear for us to come and live with God, in His presence now, then our sins are forever forgiven. We belong to His family, with God, our Father, watching over our lives. There is no more "me" or "I" there is trust in God as we rely upon His grace to be with us all the time.
Turn to Jesus and ask Him to bring you home to God. You belong there and will forever be thankful that you let go of old ways of living and stepped into an eternal life with Jesus and God.
Thank you Father for your promises and forever love with You and Jesus. 😊
