Past, Present and Future.
Mathew chapter 6 verse 34.
"So do not be anxious about tomorrow. God will take care of your tomorrow too. Live one day at a time."
With age comes responsibilities that cause us to stress and lose sleep. We care too much for others and want to please them if we can. Everyone deals with stress in different ways We either hide from it or face it hoping for a "right" outcome. By trusting in God the issues that I face seemed to get solved and with no stress lost over the outcome. With each day comes new challenges, especially as I get older I want to do the things of my youth but find my body can no longer keep up. God knows we age and so He walks with us to help us know our limits and see good results that bring honor and glory to Him. It is because of His love for us that we are happy and can live peacefully looking forward to each day as we face our challenges with Him.
We all like to think of the things we have done. Some have made us happy and some have made us feel loved. Some took us to places where we had good times or experienced hardship. Our past has gone by and produced experiences that gave us memories. It is those memories that have shaped who we are and where we are today. We use those memories everyday to help ourselves and to help others either through improvement or preventing mistakes. With the passing of each day we gain more knowledge however our bodies do age and we learn quickly that we are unable to do the things of our youth. I think God knows all the cycles of life that we go through and does not wants us to hide from them but to share them with Him. When I was very young I went to church but was too young to understand and I was easily influenced by the world. I wandered, making a living, full of energy, then my thirties hit and my waistline began to match my age, I was no longer wearing kids clothes. Then it was my eyesight that began to fade and now I have to wear glasses to help me. At work I began letting the younger people do the tedious jobs that strained the muscles. All theses memories seem to come in stages and I was unable to prevent them from coming. The conversations went from what bar we went to the night before to how we are feeling today. I returned to God and found Him there waiting for me. Slowly my life began to see that He is with me everywhere, all the time and has been throughout my life. Now I see that He uses my experiences and memories to tell stories and guide others which brings honor and glory to Him. He gives me the words to speak that help me and others see Him. He controls my thoughts so that my focus is on Him and not on wrongful living.
Would I change my past if I could? Well, I can't do that so I accept what was done and look to what I can do. As I trust in God I find that He gives me the wisdom, the love and the common sense to succeed. So with confidence in Him as He walks with me, I move forward taking each task and day as it comes, always focused on looking to Him for help and guidance.
Forever we are His, able to do His work with Jesus and to uses His word to bring peace to our lives and those around us.
Thank-you Father😊
