Priorities.

Philippians chapter 2 verses 14-16. "In everything you do, stay away from complaining and arguing, so that no one can speak a word of blame against you. You are to live clean, innocent lives as children of God in a dark world full of people who are crooked and stubborn. Shine out among them like beacon lights, holding out to them the Word of Life."

Where do your priorities lie? It is Friday night and work has finished for the week, time to kick back and relax. That would be nice and to those who do not have a spouse or children it may be possible. However, there is a home life and it needs to be attended to. As we get older the affects of alcohol can hinder our abilities to perform and to do it happily. Most people get tired of fighting hangovers and arguments and give them up to have a more peaceful life. Attitudes can still affect how we feel and how we enjoy our days. It always will seem like there is so much to do and such little time in order to get things done. Everything we do has an affect on something else around us. If we do not take "me time" then there is the possibility of us burning out or maybe a blow up at someone.
Do you look forward to your morning coffee? It is the anticipation of enjoying something you want before your day gets started. Jesus teaches us that God wants to be that pressure relief place where we can feel relaxed and at peace. God even promises to give us that place every moment of our lives. He promises to never leave us. He becomes our Father whom when we look over our shoulder to see if He is there, we find Him closely watching. He is there for us when we need Him. As a result we see the affects of His love in our lives in all we are and all we do. Our home life will not change, attitudes will always be there, but Jesus has shown us how to see all that God wants us to be and to appreciate all that He has provided. So because God's priority is me, my priorities have changed to trust and keep my focus on Him which has caused me to to live in the joy of His presence. I am not overwhelmed by time anymore, but I enjoy life with God as He reflects who He is in me.
I am so thankful to God for His Son Jesus and for the life I have with Him.
