Check this out!
Let me tell you about Jesus. The only place where you will ever want to be.
Psalms chapter 51 verses 7-13.
Sprinkle me with the cleansing blood and I shall be clean again. Wash me and I shall be whiter than snow. And after You have punished me, give me back my joy again. Don't keep looking at my sins---erase them from your sight. Create in me a new, clean heart, O God, filled with clean thoughts and right desires. Don't toss me aside, banished forever from Your presence. Don't take Your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me again the joy of Your salvation, and make me willing to obey You. Then I will teach Your ways to other sinners, and they---guilty like me---will repent and return to You.
Our lives without God can be pretty mixed up. We are left to follow our own thoughts and desires. Where do you turn when you need to be comforted or a listening ear or guidance? There are so many directions and so many opinions that can be followed, leaving you confused and maybe choosing the wrong path.
Grief leads to worry and worry leads to health issues. But Jesus tells us to leave all that up to God. That way you are only carrying light burdens. And we all know that it is not easy, even for the most devout Christian, to trust fully in God. It is always a concern if we are making the right decision or not.
Now the person who does follow God and holds tightly to His Word, then they are better prepared for trusting in God, for their experiences have proven that God is true to His promises. Living by faith in Christ, means that you believe Jesus is the only way to receive God's blessings. And God does not just give out His blessings freely, He looks to those who seek after Him and work hard to serve Him.
As children of God, our faithfulness is to our Father. We know where to look in times of trouble and calamity. That's not to say our thoughts do not wander. They are susceptible to the same opinions and temptations that others have, the only difference is that we believe in God and His love for us. So His Holy Spirit fills us with the thoughts of Galatians chapter 5 verses 22 and 23.
Are you faced with a challenge that either you created or have been forced into? What's the outcome going to look like? You may want it to be one way so you search your mind for answers. It's confusing and can leave you exhausted. From a young age our place in life is developed by our challenges. Are you a happy person or someone who is ready to flair up with an opinion? As we age our challenges can have a bigger impact on our health and our faith in trusting.
God wants our youthful trust. The type we had as innocent children who held close to their parents. It's not easy to do after your many experiences with mistakes and failures. After being taken advantage of or having to form your own opinion when someone you trusted has gone, or misused you for their benefit. You get the idea of how hard it is to give up control of your life over to God. And even when we do, we are still faced with our torn emotions, desires and temptations.
Wow! As children we ran free and loved everything because we knew no better. We experienced everything for the first time. It was only as we learned that we developed opinions. We will never be able to give full control over to God but we can come to live with Him and follow Him as close as we can so that we are prepared with Him to face any challenge that comes along.
At first you will be doubtful. It takes time to win over someone's trust. You have reached out to Him, because you have heard of His power, strength and promises. Maybe you know someone who walks with Jesus and talks about trusting in God. He is ready, if you are, to show you His love, to introduce you to Jesus and fill you with His Holy Spirit.
You can relate to the stories of the Bible because they are about people who God has touched their lives. For example Joseph, He was betrayed by His brothers over jealousy. Then taken and sold as a slave. He had no idea what was ahead of Him. And when things started to happen to him, he knew it was God who was watching over his life.
God wants to take care of you so that you will reflect His love and tell others about Him. It will be in your amazement, in your astonishment and in your glow that others will see. No longer alone to face challenges, you face them with the one you trust. Jesus becomes your way to understanding God and life with Him. He is your Savior, the one who has brought you into life with God.
Look at the old way you lived and now what life is like with Jesus. What a difference. There is no place you would rather be than living with God's mercies and grace.
Thank You Father for Jesus. You heard my cry for help and You opened the door, the one I could not see before. 😊
Matthew chapter 24 verses 42-44.
Jesus told the disciples; "So be prepared , for you do not know what day your Lord is coming. Just as a man can prevent trouble from thieves by keeping watch for them, so you can avoid trouble by always being ready for My unannounced return."
Mark chapter 7 verses 20-23.
Then Jesus added, "It is the thought-life that pollutes. For from within, out of men's hearts come evil thoughts of lust, theft, murder, adultery, wanting what belongs to others, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, envy, slander, pride, and all other folly. All these vile things come from within; they are what pollute you and make you unfit for God."
Matthew chapter 11 verses 28-30.
Jesus told them, "Come to Me and I will give you rest---all of you who work so hard beneath a heavy yoke. Wear My yoke---for it fits perfectly---and let Me teach you; for I am gentle and humble, and you shall find rest for your souls; for I give you only light burdens."
1 John chapter 1 verse 9.
Confess your sins to God and He can be depended on to forgive us and to cleanse us from every wrong.
