Do you even know?
Another beautiful day. What is it going to bring? Maybe today you will meet Jesus.
Luke chapter 5 verses 8-10.
When Simon Peter realized what had happened, he fell to his knees before Jesus and said, "Oh, sir, please leave us---I'm too much of a sinner for You to have around."
For he was awestruck by the size of their catch as were the others with him, and his partners too---James and John, the sons of Zebedee. Jesus replied, "Do not be afraid! From now on you will be fishing for the souls of men!"
You can go through each day doing what you think is best. But what if what you are doing is not the right way? The way you live is one way and God is another way. They are two totally different ways of living even though they both happen in the same time and place.
If you decide to look into what life with God would be like, you may find that it rubs you the wrong way. That is normal. God's way of living is nothing like life without Him. It's not to say that the way you live is wrong, but to say that there is so much more to be had in life with God.
You may have already heard others talking about it, as being something astonishing and amazing. You may wonder what they are talking about when you ask them to show you God and who this Jesus guy is and they cannot produce them for you to see.
Is it fantasy or fiction? People who follow God and Jesus, seem happy and they still have their share of troubles just like anyone else, yet they have chosen to give thanks to an unseen God and His Son. When you ask about their choice; you find out that they once lived without God; having no knowledge of Jesus and what He gave for all of us.
You find out that they doubted and questioned God too. Their opinions followed along with what others said and believed. It was only when they made the choice to seek God's help that their lives changed. And even then they were sceptical until they realized that God's mercies are real.
In John chapter 10, the Jewish leaders wanted to stone Jesus and He wanted to know why? They told Him it was not for His good works but for blasphemy; "You a mere man have declared Yourself to be God," they said. His reply was; "Don't believe Me unless I do the miracles of God. But if I do, believe them even if you do not believe Me. Then you will be convinced that the Father is in Me, and I in the Father."
It is so easy to follow the crowds and the routines of each day. Why would you want to stir up what is working? It is because of our routine lives that God sent Jesus. What is your day like today? Is it just another day like all the rest? It is important to have rest and relaxation time, but are you fully rested when you return? It is good to laugh and enjoy the company of others. It is good to belong to social groups and to help others. It is good to like your life, your family and loved ones. But are you rested and content?
God gives us a reason to see. God is the Creator of all things, including you. God wants you to see Him as the one who wants to guide you through your life. He does this so that you will be happy knowing that He is the one with you. He does this to receive your praise.
Are you just going through each day or are you going through each day knowing that God has blessed you with it? The joy that is in your heart, because of what God has done for you, makes each day worth while. Go ahead and do the things you would like to do, but when you do them be thankful to God for being there with you. You will see that what you are doing is a gift from God, that He has given to you. Then tell Him how thankful you are.
Maybe it is just what you need or maybe it is just what someone else needs. When you see the gifts of God, you will understand. That's when you will realize, you did not know because you were not looking.
Thank You Father for Jesus. Thank You for Your grace. You said look and you will see, so I looked and saw Your love and blessings. 😊
Isaiah chapter 43 verses 7 and 8.
All who claim Me as their God, will come for I have made them for My glory; I created them. Bring them back to Me---blind as they are and deaf when I call (Although they see and hear!)
Ephesians chapter 2 verses 4-7.
But God is so rich in mercy; He loved us so much that even though we were spiritually dead and doomed by our sins , He gave us back our lives again when He raised Christ from the dead---only by His undeserved favor have we ever been saved--- and lifted us up from the grave into glory along with Christ, where we sit with Him in the heavenly realms---all because of what Christ Jesus did. And now God can always point to us as examples of how very, very rich His kindness is, as shown in all He has done for us through Jesus Christ.
Proverbs chapter 10 verse 19.
Do not speak too much. You keep putting your foot in your mouth. Be sensible and turn off the flow.
