Who's flock do you live in?
"He presents it to the poor and the needy for their use."
Life with God is available to all, through Jesus, who made all things possible.
Why would anyone need God? Our lives are ok. We have shelter and food. All of our provisions are taken care of by our own work. "Problems and troubles are always there and it is only myself who is going to take care of me."
God knows it is hard to trust in Him. He knows that people are being asked to believe by faith. That is why strength comes from believing. If it was easy, then we would not be dealing with trials, that bring us into situations, where we are left with no other place to turn, but to Him. Having life with Him means we are trusting in Him.
It is when you bring, to Him, your desire to seek His help. It is when you are ready to let go of always having to control things on your own and trust that maybe He can do as He promises. It is those first few steps of coming to Him that are setting you on the path of seeking His love.
Children start out innocent and unaware of worries. It is in our own daily living that our experiences create the paths on which we walk. It is having to take care of ourselves that leads us in the decisions we make. If you get up and work hard, then you can make a bit of a living and provide the things you need. If you follow the path of easy money and wrongful living then you will struggle.
If we could not be exposed to the world and all it's temptations; if we were to live sheltered lives protected in seclusion, then we are not living at all. Life does not have to be like that. God is there for all people, but it is only them that see Him as the creator of all, that live in the flock of Jesus. There are many ways of living your life, but there is only one God and His Son Jesus is inviting us all to belong to His flock.
A flock of sheep graze and interact as the shepherd keeps a close protective eye on them. Always ready to respond to their needs. As we grow we learn from the guidance of others so that we can be prepared to provide for ourselves. God has done the same for us by providing Jesus as our shepherd.
God see's all people as His creations, and is saddened when our lives lead us away from Him. Now if by chance we hear His voice telling us to seek after Him and then we call out to Him for His help, then Jesus will come after His lost child and guide you back into the flock, where God is keeping a close eye on you.
Why do you need God and why should you belong to His family? It all comes down to the peace of mind we find in security. On our own we struggle and blame. We are ruthless judges who hate being alone but long to be loved and cared for, yet are hesitant and guarded. We are individuals who need to take care of ourselves for no one else is going to do it for us.
If we belong to God's family then He is the one watching over our lives. We get to play and frolic in His world, but we do it knowing that He is there keeping a close eye on us, ready at all time to save us from doing things that are going to harm us and lead us astray. He wants us to work hard and keep active lives all the while thanking Him for His guidance and love.
Start your day by thanking Him for the day to come. Be inspired by His word (the bible) and then head out prepared to have fun, knowing that you are not alone to face the days challenges. You belong to God's family where you see and understand that all is from Him, leaving you filled with peace and contentment. And of coarse, it is your happiness that is seen by others. Maybe they will become curious and ask you to explain, and wow, that is the opportunity that you have been waiting for.
Then in a humble voice you tell them that it is God who sent Jesus to help you. Maybe they will shun you or maybe they will want to know more. God knows and is ready to give you the right words to speak at the right time. No matter what others say, your joy is proven by belonging to the family of God.
Thank You Father for Jesus. There is a light that shines in my life, because You sent Jesus to help me find my way. 😊
Matthew chapter 5 verses 14-16.
You are the worlds light---a city on a hill, glowing in the night for all to see. Don't hide your light! Let it shine for all; let your good deeds glow for all to see, so that they will praise your heavenly Father.
Luke chapter 15 verse 7.
Jesus replied; "In the same way heaven will be happier over one lost sinner who returns to God than over ninety-nine others who have strayed away."
Luke chapter 12 verses 30 and 32.
Jesus said; "All mankind scratches for it's daily bread, but your heavenly Father knows your needs. He will always give you all you need from day to day if you will make the Kingdom of God your primary concern. So don't be afraid, little flock. For it gives your Father great happiness to give you the Kingdom."
